Is there anybody who's using their Heinlad as an alarm clock?

I have been since I got him about 10 month ago. And lately his clock stops all the time. I am thinking of taking him to a repair shop :(

And that's why I don't use my rare import Japanese toys for everyday use ;)

Yeah, the clock on mine sort of just stopped too, and it's not the batteries, maybe the clock itself is one of them cheap-chinatown-bootlegs

I got mine for $11 shipped from overseas. I use mine when I need up at any time other than 6:00 AM. I got him in 2004, still on the original battery.

Heinlad is one of the best alarms I've ever owned. However I have noticed that mine stops keeping time if I leave him standing up, so I just leave him on all fours in beast mode. I figure that I've changed the battery about every 15 months or so since I got him.

I know what you mean (Even though I got mine cheap), but it is a great feeling when you wake up to one of your favourite Transformers (for the record, I am married :lol ).

Matrix Soul, I don't think it's because of the battery either...his clock is just bad quality. That size battery is not suitable for a clock anyway, though.

Thank you for the tip, Signal Lancer, I will try that :)

Is there a difference between the Korean version and the Japanese version?
And for the record, I don’t use mine for an alarm clock for fear my 5year old will take it.

We've got a clock that works fine off the same size battery.

Did you get yours cheaper than $11 shipped from overseas?

I don't believe there is a Koean Heinlad. Someone fill me in.

My Korean Bw's are identical to the Japanese ones

BW Neo Korean version and Japanese version are supposed to be the same. I don't have the 2 versions of the same figure, so I can't say for certain.

I put my Heinlad on top of a tall chest of drawers, far back. That way my kids don't fiddle with the clock AND I have to actually get out of the bed to turn the alarm off. Much less chance to oversleep :D

edit; SB1, really, no Sonokong Heinlad? To think of that I have never heard of it...

Ok, with all these talk about him, I finally took him out of the display case and give it a fiddle, come to find out the reason why I put him away was because the alarm needle (Yellow one) had came off it's intended place on the axel, so now I have to open him up to fix that, other than that, everything is in working order. Now my question is, how do you turn the alarm on or off in beast mode?

You got to open the beast head to expose the bot head, right?

Mine's probem could be the dial on his back. It feels loose.

BTW SB1, my Heinlad was $8.50 before shipping, so you have won the bargain contest :D
