Like what the hell? Who would buy this case? It's not like someone would shoot your iPhone.

Considering how many people seem to hate Apple with the intensity of a thousand burning suns, I'm not too sure about that.

But can it prevent the screen from cracking if you drop it? I'd say the added weight would actually make your phone fall even harder increasing the chances of the screen shattering.

I highly doubt the screen will shatter, unless you throw it against a rock screen first. The phone's encased in a silicone gelish type of skin before putting it in the bulletproof outter shell. This way, not only will the silicone skin absorb the impact of a drop, it'll also absorb the impact of a bullet.

Where does it say that? I didn't see anything about that in the link.

So if we have to go to war with the iphones, we'll need a higher caliber bullet than .50?

The iPhones would still be at a disadvantage thougth, their guns would cost twice as much as ours and Apple would change the caliber ever year to make them buy new ones.

Watch the video in the first post. At the end, he takes the case apart to inspect the iPhone.

So it's thicker, wider, heavier, and harder to hold and store on your person.

Basically the exact opposite of what an iPhone is supposed to be.

    No kidding.

Well, yeah, but considering how common is it to get shot at with a .50 caliber bullet, the tradeoff is completely worth it.

My guess would be that its more than likely that people put a phone in their pocket with the screen facing their body with the back of the case facing outwards.

Make a good bludgeon in a pinch though.

Regardless if it stops the bullet. What would the impact damage on a persons body be like with this caliber? You could still die from trauma or internal bleeding. That case is better suited as a paper weight lol.

I've met a few guys with hands so big, that might well be a comfortable case.

    Hydrostatic shock?

50 Cent's probably buying these in bulk.

Not to mention the case itself is only so wide. It wouldn't distribute much of the force and probably feel like you just got shot with a really big bullet.

I get the distinct feeling the point of this item is to protect the phone, not the person....which just raises more questions really.
