How can they plan something for something that not only hasn't been released, but hasn't been seen in anything but a mention in a possibly inaccurate list?

 

I'm not sure what your question is. The TFW2005 boards have already confirmed that Brainstorm will be a future toy, and that he will not be a headmaster. Whatever is mentioned about Transformers on the boards, automatically become facts.

 

 

I was gonna say... I was the one who first found the Brainstorm listing... Suddenly people are asking for upgrade kits for something that may not even exist.

 

Yeah I got a Skyhammer mib waiting for this.

 

Why would you think the list wasn't legit when we have obvious proof due to many items on it being already available for purchase. I literally bought four figures from that very list yesterday that are being shipped to me this week.

Do you need photographic proof of everything before you'll believe it is being made or are official leaked product codes that are alongside official product codes of products we already have access to not good enough to be believed?

 

There were a few items on that list that were canceled, too. Also some names were wrong like Doubleheader (God I wish). It's more than likely accurate, but not 100% fact until we have the figures in our hands.

The point still stands. Why (how?) would a 3p plan an upgrade for something that no one outside of Hasbro/Takara designers have seen?

 

With Hasbro's current pattern of making characters from the IDW comics, Brainstorm is pretty likely, and he probably won't be a Headmaster, since he isn't in the comics... thus the need for a partner. Obviously you can't really start on it until you see the mold, but occasionally a third party company can start on a project after just seeing that a toy is a remold/repaint of something else. Look at X2 Toys promoting an Overlord head for Doubledealer before Doubledealer was released...

 

Cool. Will you be posting the pictures of Brainstorm this weekend? Dying to see what the toy looks like.

 

But Blitzwing was already released and it's the same mold as Doubledealer.

 

Not asking was just hoping....I love what they did to Hardhead and HOPE they would consider it IF the listing is right.I didn't realize my post was going to be taken so seriously....

Don't forget the receipts too. Its crazy how people won't believe you have a toy in hand without that piece of paper.

There haven't been any developments in ages. Doesn't mean there won't be, tho. Nothing's changed for the last several months, but they could be busy with other stuff.

 

Last sort of update I recall was a pic of Iguana and Ronin at Captured Prey's booth or room at one of the cons the other year. Made me think it was close, but doesn't seem to be.

Ronin is pretty much a recolor of the Bludgeon/Blood set, you'd think it would be easy to put out. Has a gun, but it's not that much of a big change.

 

It's too bad that video review doesn't show the vehicle mode, I'm curious whether that gun has a place to go in tank mode. Err, "would have had a place to go", since this thing is clearly never coming out.
