Hey Guys,

I have been looking for some time for a nice G1 Scorponok. I finally found one here on the board from fellow member B'Bantor. He was in great shape. The only problem was Lord Zarak took some damage. His arm was broken off at one time and looks like it was glued back on with gorilla glue. He also had some red paint or marker on him.

I have started by trying to get the old glue off and cleaning the red stuff off. I took him apart, the toughest thing was trying to get his forehead piece off. The best thing to do is to take a very thin piece of metal and very very carefully pry the right or left side apart ever so slightly. This will allow the forehead piece to come out. Once that piece is out you can then get to the screw to take the rest of him apart.

The old glue was caked on and had to be lightly scraped off as it has been on him for years. Once all the old glue was off I then started to try and get the red stuff off. I used isopropyl alcohol on a paper towel. This worked very well, you can still see very red but I am happy with how it turned out.

Next up arm repair.

too get the rest of that red off I would use same method but a toothbrush as well to get in the crevises, works for me all the time.
