I've had CW Sunstreaker on the 'to paint' list for a while now and he's pretty much sat in pieces for months. Now with TR upon us, I have a good reason to return to the project: now he'll be a HEADMASTER!

The Titan Master is named for - and designed after - his headmaster in the comics, Hunter O'Nion. In particular, this colour scheme:

The Clobber mould not only has convenient yellow plastic to match, but similar chest and arm detailing to emulate the face-armour in the comic. The silver legs also resemble the engine intakes his head was mounted to on his G1 toy.

I still need to do a few paint touch-ups and secure the face to the Titan Master. Then it's on to the body itself (which I will post separately once I've made more progress)!

EDIT: Sunstreaker's body is now completed!

Are you going to use the classics mold, or wait and mod the upcoming Hotrod toy?

I'm still kinda holding out hope that they release an official one in the same wave as Alligator Optimus Prime towards the end of the line next year. This looks awesome though. I may do this as I have an extra Sunstreaker head from a Brainmaster custom I made.

Might have to try this. Been wanting to turn CW Sunstreaker into Tigertracks for a while now. Is the head just glued on or is it screwed in place?

This looks great. What are your plans for attaching him to the body?

I'm actually modding the CW Sunstreaker. Whilst it's not the perfect figure, I think I can really improve it with some revised paint apps!

I'm using the port where Titan Master Nightbeat attaches to his drill tank mode and fixing that in place to CW Sunstreaker. It looks pretty good, just needs tidying!

I'd prefer to use the screw if possible, but failing that I'll just glue it. Will see what works!

I wouldn't (not that I have CHUG Sunstreaker), but I don't feel bad about cutting up the CW mould!
