Wow, that gave me legit chills.

I'm still worried that Marky Mark will end up dying at the end :(

Why, exactly? Isn't a known fact that he survives?

This guy's like the new Dylan Gould; cept he has motivations other than "Because I wanna live after everyone else is killed by the guys who named themselves Decepticons'"

Just noticed the lack of (or just very quiet) music in this scene. That might change in the final cut but I hope not! I love this atmosphere! :D

So if he doesn't tell them where Optimus Prime is... will he at least be allowed to get a new apartment/house and see his daughter graduate without honors?

    "What's your preference?"

Wow, that is one ominous line.

Definitely looking like this film has a much more serious tone than the last 3. A VERY welcome change.

That was too good. Anyone notice the CIA seal in that lobby-like area? Does this mean that Attinger's "secret" organization is a branch of the CIA?

This film really looks promising, because a whole lot more of you on the boards seem to pleased with how this is turning out, in comparison to the prior movies. I hope the same praise remains after the film's debut.

This is actually a really great and maturely laid out scene. Name one serious conversation between humans from the last trilogy that didn't involve the military or feature a comedic interjection. Plus, the actors are so much better, and Wahlberg seems like he will make good on his promise to kill that guy if he harms Tessa.

Sam and Mikaela's exchange of dialogue under the stars on the Pyramids seemed serious to me. I do understand where you're coming from, though.

    Yep.

How about Mikaela talking about how glad she was she got in the car with Sam, in the first film. Or Sam's conversation with his dad in RotF where his dad was trying and failing not to cry while telling him to come back to him. Or Maggie sneaking into the room with the SECDEF. She wasn't military. Sam also had several conversations with both Carly and Dylan that were very serious.

The stuff is in there, and when Bay actually takes the time to direct serious scenes, he does a surprisingly good job for such an action oriented director. He doesn't always take the time to do so but when he does, he can actually get a damn good performance out of actors. He's certainly a hell of a lot better than George Lucas for example. When that guy directs people, he turns academy award nominees into walking pieces of awkward wood.

Kelsey Grammer should play more villains.
