Of course! I buy toys to play with them.

Sometimes when I buy from other collectors locally and I know they're MISB collectors, I'll open it as fast as I can right in front of them as if my life depended on it. Oh the look on they're faces. It's precious.

I voted no, but that's prolly because I can't afford Vintage MISb figures, lol.

If I had any driving need to buy a MISB/etc. vintage figure, that would mean I had cash to blow on a toy that I'd never play with. That would also mean I had cash to blow on the exact same figure, but be able to get it restored to like-new condition.

I've opened a few sealed ones... Snaptrap, Jetfire, Doubledealer, Shockwave... I keep the boxes nice and all but if they're not opened then they can't do their JOB and transform :)

Bought a MISB Metrotitan for 6 bills and opened it and applied all the stickers and transformed it as soon as I got it. Sold it a year later for the same price. I have yet to buy a MISB Transformer that that I've opened and played with that I couldn't resell for the same price I paid for it sealed.

Several years before G1 reissues began, i bought a MISB Megatron and promptly de-sealed it.

I think it was $450? Sold it as soon as the first Megatron reissue was announced and still got $375 for it.

In the same circumstances, would do it again. Completely extinguished the demon that was my repeated failure to obtain said toy during childhood.

I also remember opening one of the MISB Doubledealers i bought from Hangtenstoyshack all those donkey's years back.

Not nearly as much fun as liberating Megatron though.

Of course I opened all my toys when I was little, and in recent years I've gotten a few vintage MIB/MISB toys that I opened. Collecting vintage G1 MIB/MISB is very expensive though, high end collecting, it's hard to maintain it.

I have opened an G1 Ultra Magnus, a G1 Ramjet, a G2 Optimus Prime and more recently a japanese set of G1 Constructicons in their own separate boxes.

I'm about to open my sealed japanese Scourge as soon as I get a decent camera to YouTube it.

I opened a MISB G1 Nightbeat about 3 years ago. I had pangs of guilt for several days afterwards.

Hell no. If I want to bad enough, I'll buy a duplicate loose figure that's in mint condition and try to restore it. For example, I have a Blurr that I cleaned up and bought stickers for, and I bet I can get double what I paid for it if I sold it.

I love my sealed G1 collection too much to break the tape on them.

I managed to pick up a cheap MOSC Fox Kids Cheetor recently. I'd never owned the figure, so thought why the hell not, broke the seal and let that mid-nineties air waft up my nostrils. And I'll tell you what, the quality of a brand new beast wars figure is leagues ahead of a brand new DOTM figure!

Bought a massive box of sealed Transmetals a couple of months back. I was going to open them, but they look so pretty with their shiny, un-flaky-fied chrome that I just couldn't do it!

If G2 counts, than yes (Skyjack and Hooligan).

Do Beast Wars count? Every single Beast Era toy I've purchased has come sealed...and there are still a bunch of toys (Hasbro and Takara) that are available sealed online, so I'm not sure what to make of them.

No, but I'd like to some day. I'm just not at the point where I can afford to pay extra for a sealed toy just to open it.

I've personally liberated more rare crazy G1 stuff...Liokaiser, Grandus, Greatshot.

My best is when I opened Victory Leo and his damned nipple landing gear instantly broke, I was being careful too!

The Roadfire in my sig is the rare example that I bought un-sealed.

Boxes are for sissies that think toys are a "financial investment"
(Note, this IS how I feel, but I'm not calling any of YOU sissies)

    Not yet.
Should I manage to get Snarl and Swoop, that will change.
I don't usually buy vintage though. Too expensive for me. I buy too much new stuff from too many lines to devote that much money to it.
