I couldn't tell you how much i've moved.... As a kid, i'd say maybe 10 times. Chicago to Dallas, Dallas to Laredo, Laredo to Austin and while I was in college.. I moved every year pretty much. Now i'm planing to make another huge jump depending on when or if I get into a decent Law School. Right now i'm looking at Michigan, Michigan State, Arkansas, Miami, Chicago..... Moving sucks but its fun meeting people and exploring new things.

Well, if you're staying close to your house, at least you'll still know where everything is, and it won't be as much of a change in lifestyle as moving to another state or country.

As to not wanting to meet new people, I can only suggest that you re-think that. Meeting people on the internet may let you sort through the kind of people you "want" to talk to, but at the end of the day, people need other people in real life. Meeting new people helps us learn new things, about the world and about ourselves. It helps us grow, and even if the people we meet don't end up becoming our friends, just meeting them helps us become better people. Like I've said before, its a big world out there, and there's nothing better than seeing it for yourself.

I never moved to a house. I'm not rich. But I moved from my parents apartement to my apartement. An own house would be luxury, but cool. But an own apartement that I do not have to pay a monthly rent would be cool. But even for that the average person here never has the money without taking a credit.

Probably I might move this year to another apartement, which is cheaper, so that I have 100€ more every month. We'll see.

Go outside, knock on your neighbor's door, introduce yourself and strike up a conversation. You'll find that interacting with human beings is like 500% more interesting than reading hitting F5 repeatedly just to get that next fix of text on a screen.

I agree, moving is a pain in the butt..even if its within the same state or city..like others have said, you have so much to cull out and sale off, toss, etc.. even if you've just been in the same location for a couple of years..as for moving out of the country..its great if a Corporation is moving you..they pay for all the movers, paperwork, etc..that wasn't so bad..but then you don't know anyone, except a few co-workers..but life is an adventure and should be treated as such :D  I've loved living over seas (Europe) and met some wonderful people there and in Mexico as well..but have to admit, loved coming home too!

I've moved several times myself. I've lived in three different houses on the same street. My first house was with my grandparents who raised me, then my second house was the family home 2 houses down. It burnt down in '05 (lost my original G1 optimus and megs in that fire /cry) then I moved to another house right across the street from my grandparents. Now I live about 8 miles from that street in my deceased brother's old house. Not counting college, I've moved a total of 4 times.

Hopefully in the following years I and my family are moving out. I love moving, new home, new neighborhood. As long as I can still go to the same school I'm down with it :D  I can't leave my friends behind. I'd be more than happy to leave the people whose shit I've put up with, but that's another story.

At the moment I don't have much to my name. My Transformers, computer, Xbox, personal library (Consisting of many scifi novels and prehistoric encyclopedias/books) and my TV.

My house was built in the late 1800's (We still have square nails in the window panelling!) but it's been remodeled over the years with a new section added on back in '93. I hope my future home is large, new, and comes with a Zen/Bansai garden :D

Be careful playing Mary Poppins! Remember it was only a movie, you can't really fly with an umbrella.
