Yeah, they're very small. Decent molds, but small.

They seem about Weaponizer or Ultra-size to me.

They're also missing a lot of engineering parts, which is why they look so bad compared to previous ones. They're just very cheap.

I think each class has gotten a bit smaller. I recently got a 2007 Voyager Ratchet at a thrift store and he towers over Evasion Mode Optimus. Heck, he's even noticeably bigger than TFA Voyager Prime, and they weren't that far apart in release.

Ratchet is just a large voyager. Evasion prime isn't small, he is taller than the voyager rotf hftd optimus, and the voyager classics optimus.

I agree that pretty much all sizes have gotten smaller, and I am afraid in a few more years that Leader Size figures may be the size of Voyagers.

And its not just the movie line either, its all of them from Masterpiece,Classics/Generations,Prime,and whatever comes next.So probably in 4 or 5 years expect to pay $50-$55 for a Movie Leader Prime the size of Classics Voyager Prime.

But before I go I wanna go back to about the Masterpiece line, and even tho they are now smaller I just think it was a wayyyyyy better trade-off since now the MPs are so much more detailed and show accurate than MP1-MP9 were, they are MIND BLOWINGLY AWESOME.

Toys get more expensive to produce with higher gas prices. Shifting production to Veitnam only delayed what was an inevitable inflation.

TFTM Ratchet is huge compared to other Voyagers from that wave and previous Voyagers. He's a freak.

Seriously, stick him next to Classics Prime. Stcik him next to Blackout. He's insane. He should absolutely never be used as an example of any kind of typical Voyager size.

I'm not pleased that Hasbro/Takara Tomy reduced the Leader Class figures because for me, they are the 'highlights' of the movie line toys.

If they wanted to reduce the deluxe figures or whatever I don't mind - and yes, I do buy them. I mean, its not like they release 5 or 6 leader Class toys per movie line?

I was hoping Hasbro/TT 'back track' and we get a Leader Class DOTM Megatron but now no - especially if he's doing to smaller than the ROTF Leader Class Optimus.

I just wanna say Liger that even tho a DOTM Leader Megs may be a dream gone awry for many people I don't think its a total lost cause since there are so many knock-off company's out there that there may be 1 or 2 that somehow enlarged the Hasbro Voyager one just like they did with 100's of other figures, just look on the net I am sure you will find a leader size or bigger knock-off version of him.Hope that helps.

I think they have gotten smaller, but mostly because they've removed the electronics gimmick. I honestly don't mind this at all. I would always take the batteries out, because otherwise Optimus Prime would adamantly declare his identity at least ten times during transformation.

They have become smaller, yes, but close to the lost Ultra class that has always been my favorite for the "bigger" bot characters. So its sad for some but cool for me...if only the price point would shrink too...hmmm

You're just getting bigger. It happens to everybody at one point in their lives.

It also depends on what figure your comparing it to.

If you use animated Lockdown every deluxe robot mode has been small since him.

TBH if a 3P gives us a Leader Class DOTM Megatron, I'll bite. I'm quite disappointed why he was bypass and instead they gave us a Leader Class Ironhide and Bumblebee?! The current KO DOTM Megs is too oversized.

What the heck? At least give us the appropriate characters in their appropriate class size. But I guess Hasbro felt that Bee sells so we have him in that scale! Blah!

I recall reading somewhere that Hasbro on hindsight felt they should have released a Leader Class Shockwave instead of Bumblebee - don't know how true is that.

This is how I feel, I was expecting Grimlock and Prime to be pretty darn awesome, but they're a let down. retail leader AOE Prime is fun, not a great toy nor is it horrible, but I feel as if Hasbro could've really done some awesome engineering on this new AOE prime.

I'd rather they raise the price and kept the leaders as they were in terms of size and engineering. Then I might still bitch about the price, but at least I'd get something I felt was worth having. I can't really say the same for the new leaders, or really, anything in the new line so far.

Oh, that's encouraging! I never owned any TFTM Voyagers prior to him and Evasion Prime so I was starting to wonder about Hasbro's toy measurements these days. Actually, come to think of it, the only other pre-Generations Voyager I have is Classics Prime, that should have tipped me off right there. Why the hell is Ratchet so big? :lol
