It would be nice to see 10,000 backers!!!
Or at least over 9,000 so we can make dragonball jokes
John Noble did a pretty good job in Transformers Prime.
Okay, I get the excitement, but please keep to the topic and stop posting spam just to increase the page count. It helps nothing, and does break forum rules:

Humm my second order still shows as pending, dunno why, because it was charged from my,Revolut card.
"Released" So does this mean it will actually be sold as a normal product and anyone, I mean anyone and everyone can buy it now?
Only the ones leftover to be sold on Pulse or other sites, it won't be seen in stores or ever again if extras are gone.
I was actually a bit concerned about that, I hope it's not an Hasbro Australia only initiative.
I hear you. When I think of "making payments" I think of necessities to live type of stuff. It never even crossed my mind that people finance stuff they dont need or cant afford outside of maybe luxury cars. And to be 100% real since we gravitated to a hobby thats somewhat within the "geek" realm I honsttly expected more humility. It never crossed my mind that there would be a such thing as a broke high end Transformers collector living paycheck by paycheck and having to save up $600 to buy a big ass toy. Having the privilege to attend 4 different botcons and socialize with a variety of people, the one vibe I never got from anyone was broke or living out of their means. All I met were logical dudes who had good jobs to finance their rather expensive hobby. Love it or hate it, ive always considered this a pay to play hobby. Yeah we see a lot of bitching about prices and scalpers on these boards, but I always figured it was more on the basis of principle than lack of funds. But hey, if someone wants to eat ramen noodles for a month and stay hone on weekends to be able to by Unicron, more power to them. But thats definitely not something I would do. I live by my means. Thats just how I was raised. But enough about my generalizations about the fandom. Somehow they came together and pulled this off. Granted I would love to know in January 2021 how many Unicrons out of the 8000 will remain in warehouses or basements rather than being opened and enjoyed. I would like to think that the count could be used like a "census" for how many high end Transformers collectors we have in the world today. But because of scalpers and speculators we will never know the actual number. My personal guess is somwhere between 5000-6000 Unicrons will be opened and enjoyed. The rest will never see the light of day and become the dead weight that helped finance the crowdfund. Just like theres still a barge full of unopened barges out there, lol.
I wonder if Unicron can hold a wineglass...
I\'m glad it\'s happening, but geez! I guess whoever threw this trainwreck of a campaign together gets to keep their job.
And it only took a desperate last minute deadline extension to do it!
For what it's worth, I agree with you that this sets a dangerous precedent that I do not like at all.
It's like if Nintendo used Kickstarter for a game.
For a $500 game that wouldn't be possible otherwise, you mean.
Seems you like to complain
Sounds like how Activision would try to resurrect Skylanders.
How dare they stoop so low and tarnish their image. They should've cancelled it and kept their dignity intact!
No, it means released to those who bought it. As has been stated many times, there are retailers who are buying some for stock and they will be happy to sell them to anyone willing to pay their marked up price.
So now we can expect some 3rd party and ko 'cron reveals?
