Someone needs to brush up on what constitutes a "pun".

What do you guys think this success says about the future of TF? Is this the dawn of a new era, the last hurrah?

Im ready to go with my display space now. I have a configurable space in the deep bookshelf in my home office that should hold him in either mode. I’ll seal off with UV resistant plexiglass/Lexan and I’ll use warm (color temp) white LEDs will light him from below and do my best to pass it off as a piece of art. :)

If it had failed it would have been a major deal. The Zeta Core thing probably would have triggered the Third Party Apocalypse. We would have likely seen the end of Hasbro catering to older nostalgia fans. You’d have seen the full tilt towards 8-12 year olds and leveraging IP into digital markets, etc.

Unicron succeeding shows there’s still money to be made from us older fans. And that the third party scene isn’t worth the time and money it would take to shut down. So we all get to go on from this with business as usual I’d imagine.

They were fantastic. And worldburglar too.

I wanted to take a pic with Unicron with my phone showing that unicron was funded but realized it would be too complicated with lighting etc and gave up

It's been said from the start, one the time is up, that is the number being made. If you don't drop the cash now, expect to pay more later...

... Unless these wind up shelfwarming on retail stores.

Congrats to everyone who backed this project and who will -no matter people’s constant back and forth bickering over here- receive this glorious piece of TF history!

I didn’t believe it would make it, but it did. So I’m happy for my fellow fans, now proceed on your way to oblivion!

    Reading through the comments here.

    1. Neither the I have to check with my spouse or the I do what I want people should be commenting on each others lifestyles. None of your business

    2. Transformers are not even close to Hasbro's biggest consumer or the most vocal. Magic the Gathering fans hold that honor. I happen to be a collector and player, Transformers fans have nothing on them. Magic is Hasbros biggest revenue stream by a large margin. Magic fans whine all day and night as well.

Let me caveat that with “Biggest Transformers consumers.”

I would like to see the numbers on Magic. That surprises me.

Glad to see this guy was funded even though I've decided long ago he's not worth it to me as is.

    Congrats folks!

So...I was at a party. Spent an hour refreshing the page. My non-geek, totally supportive and amazing, girlfriend eagerly beside me. Friends and acquaintances are asking what we are watching. We are acting like the fate of the world is about to be announced. I’m showing people. Some are in awe. Most think I’m crazy (they’re not wrong). 10:21 EST we, collectively, hit 8005. We erupt in a cheer.

Then the question from my girlfriend: so where are you going to put this? And so goes the rest of the evening as we discuss options lol! Now...I need the perfect altar to display this beauty. We all have, about, 18 months to figure it out. I’m very excited for all of us to share our ideas!

If it didn’t succeed we would not see any other project. If Hasbro would man up and do a USS Flagg I would love that.

I’ll be placing my order today. A lot of this late push is people wanting to just see this thing get close before pulling the trigger.

    Well a quick Google search.
New Poe Dameron X-Wing at $99
    Current X-Wing $79
So I guess your +$80 conspiracy is thrown out the window.
    *shrug*
