    If I had to guess:

DNA Design will do new rings/wings. The official ones are fine but they're definitely... how do I put it... very "Hasbro". A compromise between asthetics, cost, saftey and complexity. Rings that transform in a more complicated fashion (these are fairly similar to the Armada Unicron approach actually) with m ore painted detail would be well within their typical wheelhouse. It'd be more complicated and expensive than the Fortress Maximus sets, but probably under $100. It probably will not light up.

ShockwaveLabs will do an red LED thingy that will go right into the mouth of the planet mode. It'll cover up the the unpainted trash compactor detail, but it'll give him his red mouth glow.

One of the 3d printing companies will do the missing Quintesson, Junkion and Decepiticon ships. We'll probably also get Tennis ball sided Lith-Ones and Moonbase 1 and 2. It would be cool if a hemisphere could rotate to unveil tooth-grooves so the planets/moons could lock it into Unicron's jaws, simulating him chewing them.

ToyHax will do stickers of course. Probably very expensive ($50 each) and in at least two parts: one for Planet mode and one for robot mode.

The mount everest of addons, which probably won't be done, is replacing the existing arms that connect the various planet pieces with one that folds differently to try and create a more compact shape.

And a metal or clear replacement stand. The black one works fine, but it takes up a lot of visual space.

The actual money won’t be pulled from your account until the campaign is officially over, tomorrow night. As long as you get an email confirmation or you can see it in your HasbroPulse order history, you’re good.

Sideways has zero to do with G1 1986 movie/Siege Unicron.

He's strictly an Armada character. never even made it past Armada. lol

Robot mode would seem the safest bet, unless there's filler to hold the planet mode in place.

I bet basically sort of like Omega Supreme. Laying down in robot mode, rings not connected. Stand in two pieces (base and arm). Some assembly required. Basically a Titan class box, just twice the size.

And unlike Titan-class, secured and protected by Styrofoam.

Except when he was in Cybertron and RotF. And hijacked 'Ask Vector Prime'. And when his first toy came out before Armada.

That sounds amazing! I totally visualize your description.

These etchings, and small clear added on pipes & greeble, could also catch light from light piping from the bottom on a type of hollowed but still thin baseplate.

As for me personally, I really like a base that is as ‘invisible’ as possible, to let the model ‘float’. The less parts catches less light (w/clear materials), so one part with soft 1 or 2 curved bends is why I imagine; ultra minimalistic.

However your idea would totally be a really fun project to produce! I’m a visual artist but always had a penchant for creating 3D modeling of some sort, and would also enjoy making something I enjoy which I could offer on the market, one day. My ultimate project is a 3D scaled modular diorama (urban/city) based on G1 cartoons, for sporadically displaying my Masterpiece figures. With lighting for night scenes...I’ll be enjoying taking pictures of that! It’s a longtime boyhood dream of mine. I drew pretty solid blueprints a few years back, I gotta start it eventually!

    highly doubtful.

Hasbro has already started their Green Campaign. The Unicron box will be no different.

I'm guessing it'll look much like the 35th anniversary boxes. Plain box, some Lettering and other little graphic but plain to the eye. and inside it's probably just have some sort of cardboard fasteners and paper ties.

If I had to guess, it’d be packaged in Planet mode. The box could be smaller and the ring detached. Plus it would have the added benefit of being just like the movie, arriving in planet mode, then transforming into the chaos bringer, using the transforming cues from the movie. The “reveal” that the planet is a sentient robot could be experienced when received!

So are the US etailers just eating the up front cost?

All the UK stores are full payment up front or a slight delay into November (via the 'unofficial routes'), like HasLab direct is...if they need the 8000 backers money up front for production, then what about the peeps that are just putting the $100 or $175 deposits via Toy Dojo etc.

My biggest concern now is that my card will halt the transaction as possible fraud, then Hasbro cancels my order... i’ve never wanted $600 to go away at once so badly!
