It’s a perfect example of discourse today that something so overwhelmingly positive can be created, but a bunch of sad men who didn’t get hugged enough as kids can thrash around endlessly with insignificant complaints, and their perspective will instinctively be framed as an equivalent by almost everyone. False equivalence is one of the most destructive, exploited fallacies in the world today. “I think it’s bad” is not always equal to “I think it’s good” just because the two phrases sound equal. Not every equal but opposite reaction comes from sound thinking. Sometimes “I think it’s bad” is nothing but a jerk, speaking from a gut filled with bile.
