I give ZERO fucks about Haslab fudging numbers. I've committed my soul to the cause.
Yeah! its become far too common in the automotive industry, they lie by saying car "1 out of 500' etc.. It's actually pretty shady as it artificially inflates the market value 100's of thousands above sticker price via 3rd party vendors
Mclaren, Buggati & Lamborghini individually numbers its special editions such as the 'Super Trofeo', 'Reventon or Senna etc.... with designations on an interior plaque-like: Car 07 / 25
Can't imagine Hasbro bothering to make individual plaques for an 8000 unit run on a toy... seems very laborious.
Wow that’s quite the diss on Cookie Monster. Harsh indeed.
These things take time to make. They did not want to design the hands and just post the CGI. The fact they printed them probably means they will put it on one of the prototypes.
Is it though? Is this a past project, or simply an unsuccessful attempt to fund?
The barge is a past project. Unicron will become a project if it hits 8k, and once shipped it'll be a past project.
CM was a failed non-project. Not sure there's a link on HasLab for those...
Oh it was there before. Trust me. Right next to the Barge under 'Past Projects'. I don't know when or why it got removed, but that's definitely what's happened.
Pretty much. If they have to pretend to sell 20 extra or 2000, I don't care so long as they hit 8000 total.
That said, I don't understand how folks find it hard to believe that all these other buying options outside the US are capable of funneling in the necessary final totals. Nor do I understand how people can't accept that these orders are being added all at once near the end. The logic behind it has been discussed multiple times throughout the pages.
It is. It's also wrong.
Had you read the posts you'd have seen the 1000 or so added was from Takara TomyMall, Hasbro Asia and other Hasbro affiliated shops.
This is going to happen whether people like it or not. Even if it didn't get another backer going forward, there's no way that Hasbro walks away from $4M+.
It would be kind of cool if your specific backing number were etched onto an exclusive collector's card (i.e. #4,123 of 8,000), or even better, a Unicron coin.
I can stand on the sun without getting burned. That's my opinion.
Well shit, you can tell these bonuses are a designer having fun with the budget cause they didn't even have the time to print and paint this stuff. Happy as hell that my post that was mocked all those pages ago was listened to Thanks for the new hands Hasbro!
You know, it wouldn't surprise me if Hasbro felt thrown under the bus by Children's Television Workshop on the project. CTW did NO marketing for the project, to my knowledge. But that's not CTW's fault, either, as I don't think they can push a for-profit product as a non-profit organization. I work for a PBS affiliate and I would have received emails about the project if they had. So, basically, all the marketing was entirely on Hasbro's shoulders and they were shouting into the wrong room.
The last huge jump was the overseas retailers being added. Maybe there was another jump for that. Wasn't Kapow serving the UK added after the extension? So not necessarily cooked numbers.
Odd, for me it has been you with your constant turtle shell mocking comments that got on my nerves. To each their own. What's that avatar btw? Freddy Mercury's wig and mustache?
And before you put me on your ignore list, just to state it for court record,I am 41.
Ahh! I'm trying to look at old messages but someone is cleaning up this thread and making it harder!
But seriously, thanks to the mod who's doing that. It got messy a tad.
That would be an assertion not an opinion.
I think there are more than a few comments that are honestly, truly not worth reading even a little bit in this thread.
That's a matter of perspective.
Indeed. Much cleaner now. Clean is good and they didnt need to use the cleansing fire
