I think that’a fair. And I think the same healthy skepticism should be given to Zeta’s pigmy version when the tester struggles with all his heart to get the legs out and pieces go flying off the thing literally multiple times. We are in early days for both projects, tolerances and stability probably will continue to be adjusted. it’s a leap of faith for all of us.

And to be fair, the same thing happens in the HasLab video. It’s just been edited to make it a little less obvious.

It’s been a while since I watched them but which part fell completely off of the Haslab figure?

Edit: unless you are talking about difficulty of transformation, in which case yes there is a struggle with getting the shoulders clicked in

They take the wings off so that they don’t fall off. I assume that’s because they know the limitations of their prototype. The right shin panel-of-shells falls at one point and jumps back into place between cuts. He’s grimacing during the arm transformation. Might not be quite to the same degree as Zeta, but then their video hasn’t been edited.

So, similar issues in the two projects at this early stage.

Hence why I said less. As bad as Haslab got, it didn't look like it needed to implode.

Alright don't make me get a Megadeus!

In all seriousness I like both Unicrons.
They have their ups and downs and Orson Welles presence.

I'd love to hear thoughts from people on MP44s backpack if they bought that and have a problem with Unicron's backpack.
backpack's happen....especially when we're getting a unicron like this one. one that will actually tower over fort max, etc as unicron should. for those with the problem with the backpack and back of the legs, good thing bots aren't typically displayed with their back facing us....at least I don't....

Sure, but I don’t think there is evidence of anything literally falling off the figure (whether you want to attribute that to editing is up to you).

And like I said, leap of faith for all of us. None of us can intelligently comment on the stability of the final products during and after transformation. At the moment, we can only go by what designers have said, what we have seen to date, and personal experience with the manufacturers, none of which is conclusive.

very well said. at the end of the day, there is a unicron for everyone and everyone should be happy about that rather than what we are seeing on here. and should haslab fail which i doubt it will, i'm sure another company will pick up where they left off. zeta will do their thing and a replica of this big guy will come out by another party.

Once again, it flies over your head... what exactly do you think I am pointing out in what I said when I clearly stated it had absolutely nothing to do with the engineering of either figure? It was, as I stated clear as the words printed on this page, only about the criticisms being derived from people that watched both transformation videos and how the 3rd party figure was held at such a higher standard for the same things that the HasLab one was criticized for.

I give no ***** about what panels are where on what figure, you are obviously reading WAY more into what was said than what I actually said. So please, again, tell me exactly what it is you think/believe I am pointing out that is causing your need to constantly point out things that are irrelevant?

The Vintage Collection ended several years ago. However, Walmart had a line of 3.75 Black Series figures (it was basically TVC type of figures) until a year or two ago. Then last year TVC relaunched, not exclusive to anyone. Walmart DID have an exclusive TIE Fighter, however. Online stores have had a new Skiff and a set of Skiff Crew. Many of the TVC Tatooine figures have been reissued by Hasbro. However, most stores (Kmart, Meijer, Target, Walmart) have Wave 1 from last year still languishing on shelves.
