I love the look of the new Unicron and the details. But as much as I'd love to back this, for $575 that is a hard pass for me. One, I can't afford to drop that kind of money, especially the part of being fully charged later this year and having to wait over a year to get the toy. Two, the way Hasbro has been with Quality Control, I'd want to see reviews of the already released toy before dropping almost $600.

Hasbro: practically a toy monopoly at this point, in talks to absorb Mattel, has a production studio, super rich in general

Also Hasbro: lol it’s reasonable to accept that 8000 nerds have almost 600 dollars to drop on a robot Orson Welles toy that we’re crowdfunding.

I wanna support this and own this figure, I really do, but I can’t let capitalism win, not today. Gonna be a begrudging but principled pass from me.

    Ebay:
Looking at comparison photos with the movie animation, he needs to be darker on the gray bits and less yellow and more orange.

Somethings looks off with the mouth and tech in robot mode. I don't know what is or if its the finish they chose to go with the metallic silver??

Didn't Jabba's Sail Barge get an extra item or two thrown in during the crowdfunding's runtime?

I wonder if something extra will be thrown in here as well.

Not gonna happen on the review side of things. As soon as you see reviews, you'll be needing to raise an extra $300-400.

Might as well sell blood, skin and teeth there! Get lots of cash for Unicron. I might even have to go as far to sell my leg...

Sold sold sold sold sold sold sold sold sold sold, freaking SOLD!!!!!!!

And for those unfamiliar with these pulse crowdfunded products, no it will never go on discount, it will never be available at ollie’s, and if it’s not funded it will never be made. You have a month to save up so freakin step up or step out, cause at $575, this is by far the largest transformer ever created, with a parts count that looks to rival an MP. This is a collector’s dream!

I’m glad it’s happening it looks cool. But when you consider the price of a mass retail Titan, and see him in the vid next to fort max it’s not worth the money if you’re not a super fan of him (luckily I’m not).

........... I think they sized this Unicron to, in planet mode, be in-scale with the Cybertron Primus planet mode. Looking at mine next to Fort Max, that looks roughly right.

All the comments I read assumed he'd be a HasLab project so it's no surprise to me. And he's close to the same price as the sail barge so even the price seems about on par. We're basically paying for the actual production of it. It's no different than FunPub's TFCC.

When they released the Sail Barge, they had extras they made released on eBay for the markets that didn't get to back it. So if it gets fully funded, you'll have an opportunity to buy it.

I mean, there’s no way in a hundred years I can possibly afford to support this thing. Having said that though, I really hope it teaches it’s goal. Just knowing that a thing like this exists out in the world would be satisfaction enough for me.
