Good thing i only got half of potp
Sure thing. Have fun.
I imagine a lot of people are upset over it removing Titan Unicron and Primus from the table. Third party and statues do not preclude official Hasbro product from arriving.
Who fucking cares what people spend their money on? Why do you? Yeah i agree it’s a lot of money but I also think it’s a beautiful figure and if they want it they can have it and hope they get it and maybe I’ll get it too but for the moment I’m not throwing down. Doesn’t mean I’m gonna tell the people who I don’t know how to spend their money and neither should you
Wow, actually trying to guilt people into not buying something just because you either can't or won't get one yourself?
You know, I was planning on getting another one to flip on ebay and make a nice profit on it, but now I want to back this project a second time just because of you.
The figure or this thread?
For that price they should have beat the tallest figure record by a few more inches. Could have made it a full yard, or a meter.
Does it have removable eyes and swappable broken ones, or do they just move?
Maybe they can create some WST size figures to go with him and make him appear larger.
I awkwardly worded my original post. I meant to say that some fans would not be happy with a new Titan Unicron and wanted something bigger. This is it.
Sometimes in life not everyone gets everything. That's reality, it isn't nice, it isn't easy, but it's reality.
Quick question, would this count as an official Hasbro product right?
Wouldn’t be surprised if it was this thread. There’s a lot of strange arguing for no reason.
I don't want this. An overly large toy that isn't even all that visually appealing. I'm trying to stick my head out for the less wealthy consumers who want a Unicron but wouldn't be able to afford one of these.
I don't see size being an issue unless people just wanted it smaller to be cheaper. I'd want a man sized unicron if I had a place to display it. Just comes down to it being worth the price, and that will be different for everyone. I'm in the "not worth it" camp atm. Might change, who knows.
Nobody cares enough about him
In one of his videos Bobby Skulface mentioned that a Hasbro rep told him it costs 100k to for the average mold for one of their figures. I don't really think we are being gouged for this thing. Its just a ton of money all at once. I also wonder if they'd really save all that much by scaling this thing down. Definitely on material, but just the points made above has me wondering.
Sure does put MP-44 into perspective though. I wonder if Takara's MP-44 production run is actually less than 8000. Both this and the MPs strike me as passion ventures not really their pathway to major profits.
Even though backing this will severely hurt, I have all these ideas for how to display it. If I get it I'll probably end up putting $1500 into the ultimate custom built legends display lol.
all this one failing will do is prevent people who want it from getting it. If the crowd funding fails they have no reason to make another Unicron since they could take it as not having interest in the character. This one failing does not mean others will get a magic cheaper Unicron, and this one succeeding does not mean they won't. Either way, win or lose, we won't get another Unicron for a decade or more so why take away this from people who want it, for absolutely no benefit for those that don't.
Shipping, staffing, office supplies, where do you think John Warden got those staples he needed this morning? He did not come out of pocket, and even if he did we are helping to put that money in his pocket.
Adding international shipping does not just mean added shipping cost, it means a new division at Hasbro Pulse.
My post is as equal in exaggeration as your position is in hysterics. Oh no, they won’t get this Unicron. On their death bed I’m sure all the collectors who never had an awesome Unicron in their collection are going to take their last breath lamenting that regret.
What a nonsensical concern.
I understood exactly what you meant; what I’ll never understand is the hysterics behind such a ridiculous argument.
