Because he needs attention and bad attention counts
Oh my god.
"Does he shed any weight from one mode to the next?"
People actually asked this? There are people who are that stupid?
I don't want to live on this planet anymore.
It means "Does he parts form in any significant way?"
... Aaaaannnnd fixed!
Lol by that logic any toys news on this site is shilling for Hasbro.
They are "shilling", but its a goddamn toy news website, we kind of want them to shill so we know what to buy.
Now that it is evident that this thing has a real chance all these types will be falling out of the woodwork.
Got mine today!
I wonder how many of the haters from this thread will be desperately ordering one at the 11th hour once they see this thing actually might happen and they very well could miss out?
And people in Hell want ice water.
I fully see one at $100 as a Haslab joint but I'm hedging bets that it could be a little more expensive then that if they give him a ton of extras.
haha, fixed - thanks for the correction, that DOES make more sense (she overemphasized it so much that i thought she said "hit" rather than "head"!).
and yeah, i kinda agree with your theory that she was probably hinting towards the removable head feature...
You know what if it does get funded and Mighty Ape continues to receive orders all the way until release day, then fuck it, I graduate in 2021 and I'm working hard on this degree, might as well get myself a stupid expensive graduation present.
I mean, reading comprehension and all that, but whatever.
Also are you kidding me with that take?
There’s no way any of the individual online shops are picking up 1200 of these as a matter of stock. Robotkingdom or Entertainment Earth would be the likely suspects, as I know they distribute a lot of stuff to the individual online sites that don’t have a direct deal with Hasbro. Which would likely mean there’s not a windfall of orders unaccounted for at the moment.
Edit: To clarify, that’s not doomsaying or Pooh-poohing, I *want* to see it get funded, I just remember seeing speculation that someplace like TFsource was going to be buying 1200 of these things and I don’t know that any single online retailer that isn’t also a distributor is dropping 720k on unsecured stock.
Glad you asked, @samisham. I should have been a bit more specific: I want this to fail, but I just as equally want it to succeed, being that there will be a great fallout regardless of what happens. If it meets its quota, great! Hasbro/TT makes a shit ton of cash, and the people who opted in and who have space for it get to partake in the biggest Transformer yet.
...but if it doesn't, then Hasbro will be in a precarious PR situation, having shown off and hyped a figure so enormous (ginormous, per Jazz) and with so many features, perhaps the most on any figure yet, and yet one which doesn't actually get to be released. It could potentially be a case of everything and nothing going right, a case which could potentially spill into the mainstream.
I'd appreciate if you wouldn't put words in my mouth, thanks.
The lack of electronics makes me kinda sad.
I thought the eyes light up, no? I would be interested to see them fit a sound chip in somewhere.
Ooh! Or can we get the Armada chest rocket back?
No electronics or sounds. So much new features. I'm backing this. I'm getting this. But seriously Hasbro, you need to learn how to light some fires.
