I think it was at one of the BotCons that I seem to remember someone (maybe it was the club, I don't remember if it was them or Hasbro) saying packaging is not that cheap

    so Unicron in polybags!

They probably need to justify about $100-150 worth of extras if they want to convince more people to finally commit

I don't think they are going to throw in a free fort max in there.

Anyone anywhere can purchase through the Haslab site, the catch is they don't deliver worldwide.

Luckily my Sister-in-law lives in the US and is meeting up for a family reunion in mid-2021.
    Everything's coming together

Also I believe any orders will count towards the 8000 target, as they'll all have to be processed through Haslab.

A: Unless you actually have the figure in hand, you don't know that he is mostly hollow boxes.
B: This is a resin copy, with much lower tolerances than the actual production figure will have, so the wiggly loose joints of this figure does not mean the production figure will have the same loose joints as it will be "made of sterner stuff" (Hopefully...) - again, won't know for sure until people actually have it in hand.

Hopefully this things gets backed since I backed this Unicron. But if the hidden features are say have a damages face version with a damage eye that you can reprocate the scenes from the movie as well the head can pop off but I doubt that will happen unless if this can be added during the devlopment.

The video had the opposite intent of really solidifying that I don't want this figure.

Still hope it gets funded for those who want it.

I predict that this thing won't make it. Lots of great engineering clearly went into it, but what they ended up with simply isn't worth the asking price. They either made the thing too big to cost a reasonable amount, or set their margin goals too greedily. Maybe even a little bit of both. But I do not see this going from ~2,500 backers acquired over a month all the way up to 8,000 in 18 days.

MP-44 has Masterpiece level engineering and paint job with an intricate transformation, and is not a crowdfunded figure. People have had roughly 2 years to anticipate this; 10ish months out of those two years we knew how much it costs.

Unicron is Generations-style, shellforming engineering, but bigger. It’s also a $626, tax included, crowdfunded figure that requires 8,000 backers in roughly 45 days time.

    God damn indeed

I think a Galvatron ship kinda-sorta scaled is the most likely extra. If there's a Galvatron, it'll be some small PVC pieces, I would think.

Not sure where you're getting any of this - he's 29 lbs. That IS pretty heavy, by himself.
The arms are going to wiggle a bit more on a resin prototype than they will a finished toy.

There are many internet stores doing preorders for this with only like 100-175$ down. Each one of those sites havent put an order in... and wont for another 2 weeks..... so its 2500 plus all those preorders of the other sites.... A poster earlier said his friend works for one of those stores and they have almost a 1000 just for the one site.... so there are a lot more in than the 2461 that hasbropulse is showing right now.

This. The feet and legs (possibly the hands?) will likely be some form of die cast to hold up a 19 pound figure.

There will probably be some hollowness to house folding out hands and sliding parts for transformation. Not Prime Wars hollowness foolery, though. If this goes into production, and it’s cheap anywhere on this figure, Hasbro will be slaughtered alive in the PR

No. Warden specifically said the figure is 19 pounds the stands weight is 10 pounds. Total weight will be close to 30 pounds.

I stand corrected. I thought it had been established that he himself was 29 lbs NOT including the stand. I see on the HasLab page that he himself IS only 19 lbs.
