To people who won't pledge until it gets close to 8000: Why?

More people would back it instantly me included, but you know bills, food, a not pissed off significant other take priority over a massive toy that i have nowhere to put in a small apartment that would consume close to a month’s budget
And wouldn’t come out for a year or two

Man, I never realized it... But Unicron has such luscious lips!   Must be quite the (last) sight when he devours your world.  

 

Lower cost, smaller figure, i would rather have a regular titan class or a commander class unicron siege, since he’s realistically not gonna scale with anything properly

As nice and sharp as all those photos look now, I feel like they are NOT going to change anyone's mind (who've already decided they want nothing to do with it, it's too expensive, it's too huge, etc.) Though I myself appreciate all the "polished" photos, even I was forced to back out, granted my reason was for something else. My mood on the toy has since changed. Knowing I'll never get to own one myself now, made me not really care much for it anymore myself. If it fails or succeeds. I don't much care anymore. I enjoy looking at the photos, but it also reignites my anger and disappointment in myself at times because I Was really looking forward to it and had to back out. I'll get over it. It's "just a toy" as everybody keeps pointing out. However, for me it was much more than that. I will never again have the opportunity to come up with the money needed to ever get something like this again. This was my only chance. Saving the insane prices all these e-Tailers are asking is nuts. All the Aftermarket prices will be totally nuts. So, it's just one of those types of situation for me where I just need to forget about this one and let it go. But man is it tough. I championed this thing so hard As passionate as I was towards this project. All my energy for it is gone now.

I wonder if they will reveal the packaging or any extra goodies to goose his potential next week...(monthly subscription to Chips Ahoy!?) That would be the time they should try and increase awareness...

 

Thats what I mean and the figure is set to release in 2021 if I remember correctly. Hopefully, if this doesn't get funded they will try again with a payment plan. Even little Super7 withe all the QC issues got it right with Snake Mountain.

That very much wasn't the point of the pics. people won't simply stop posting pics cause of your loss (sorry you can't get em man. I'd say BBTS is the best way for ya to still get him and pay it off later, but you seem to hate that option.)

 

I understand that bit, I'm in the same boat and need one more paycheck to get the last $200 I need so I won't get mine in until the last week. I just see a lot of folks who speak as if they have the money for it now but won't pledge it until they seem certain it will be successful. It seems counter-productive to me. If everyone thought that way then it would never reach its goal even if there were enough backers. And we don't even get charged until the campaign actually succeeds.

Just my two cents.

I don't get the link to the offer he's linked to, but my assumption is that it was a special 0% offer for that 18-month period. Thus, no interest.

There are quite a few cards out there that will do that kind of thing, for folks who qualify.
