So Hasbro Pulse just foolishly emailed me asking for a review of Unicron and their service. Let's just say that didn't go well. I don't even see reviews for Unicron on their site so I'm not sure what the point is?

Nothing broken. The QC is great on mine. I'm still pissed about the maw being the wrong colour as well as the bot mode teeth and hands being blue instead of grey/silver. Also the fact that I received the box on my porch with no signature or warning and the shipping email from Hasbro Pulse 4 days later. All of that is unacceptable to me for a figure that cost over $900 CAD.

I display him in planet mode and every time I look at it I think the maw looks terrible. I'm still trying to decide if I want to attempt to paint it or not. I almost sold it because of the maw.

But if you are happy with yours that is great! Enjoy it and don't listen to grumpy old men like me! :)

So is that a 3/5 or a 1/5 for you, then?

At least I wasn't the only one who did a review like that for the same reason. I sold mine since it annoyed me that much.

Just got mine from BBTS, opened him up, and he has two left horns (see the screw holes). That’s as far as I got. I don’t want to transform him if I’m going to have to ship him back anyway. I emailed BBTS and am waiting for a reply. Anyone had a response from any etailers about QC issues yet?

It comes with screw hole covers for both horns and the arms. There's no QC issue.

Yeah--same as the arms, the parts are just duplicates cast from the same mold. They don't have a "left" and "right." You're good

    Fellow Canadian.
Don't sell it. and don't paint it. Wait for 3rd party, print out trunkkey's 3D maw file, or use vinyl to cover it.

Yeah yeah. Humbling moment. Just got to page 26 and saw the cover pieces. Wasn’t expecting parts trees and clipping/shaving like an import model kit! Lol. Thanks, everyone.

i highly doubt any third party company will bother because the apparent demand for a fix is low. Trunkkey’s attempt is pretty good but it doesn’t cover enough of the blue for my taste. I’m a mechanical designer with access to CAD tools so I’ve been thinking about attempting my own cover piece but I don’t have a 3D printer at home and I’m sure it’s going to take several iterations and prints to get it right. They are very strict at the office about not printing personal stuff on the company printer. Im not in a huge rush so we shall see what fixes show up. I’m not against painting it because I really don’t think that will reduce the value and if it does I have no plans to sell it at the moment so it doesn’t matter.

The blue really bothered me as well, but I saw someone on here somewhere that is part of Cybertron Surgery that is printing & selling Trunkkey's hub/clip with his approval apparently. I ordered one, but am waiting for it to arrive. They offer them painted in a couple different shades or unpainted and I thought pricing seemed fair. They are located in Australia as a heads up. Maybe this will help?

A question for my fellow Unicronies:

the small screw hole covers are pretty good for the most part, but the ones on the large horns do not seem to want to stay in. I’m considering using some loctite to glue them in, but I’m worried about potentially discoloring or warping the plastic. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to get these to stay in?

Thank you for the help and the link! I would prefer a cap that goes further in towards the chompers so I was thinking about trying to model my own. But this would obviously be much easier.

Yea I saw your 2nd post about wanting it to go further in after I replied like a jabroni haha. At least now you have a backup plan to fall back on perhaps
