So I went into my Fedex tonight and changed the delivery of my Uni to ship to a fedex drop off location. Turns out most of the locations that I can choose from are all Dollar Generals. My partner thinks it's a huge mistake to have mine be sent to a place like this and is worried it could still be stolen or not cared for by the store. I've already done made the change. I'm praying everything will be just fine. My boss already agreed to let me leave early from work next Tuesday so I can go pick it up. Now I'm crossing my fingers and praying that everything turns out juuuust fiiiine.  

 

Yes, I know. Unfortunately, I don't think the attachment points look complete without them--at least in the pics I've seen. My intended solution was just to paint them. But maybe once I finally (sigh) have this guy in hand, I won't mind the look of things without them. (I already plan to remove the spike strips in robot-mode.) Or I can just give @songrobin 's idea a try.

Funny you should mention it-- I do have a customizable voice chip & speaker combo I can set up within him. Shouldn't be too difficult... but for me I feel the voice chip gimmick kinda wears off quick though. I'll work on all the LEDs first and I'll see to getting around to the voice chip afterwards...

The wings are pretty loose, but there are numerous ways to tighten the grip. These just arrived today so I popped them in and took photos to share....

It "Departed Fedex Location" on Wednesday at 11:40am. So yeah, it's been shipped. Fedex just has no clue where it is or when it will arrive...if it arrives. Hasbro had better be keeping some extras around b/c Fedex is about the worst carrier I've ever dealt with. When I worked for a large company, the sheer volume of stuff they would lose or deliver to the wrong address was astounding. Yet we had to offer their shipping to our customers. Ugh...

 

That scares me

 

Mine has predictably blown past it's projected arrival date today, however it is now in Chicago and should be delivered to me in Milwaukee tomorrow. So that's shipping from California on Tuesday, getting to Chicago on Friday, and to me on Saturday. Not so bad compared to some of you guys having yours stuck states away for several days.

 

That's a great tip. I was waffling on getting the extended rings but this now makes it a no brainer...

Will be trying to fashion some sort of styrofoam core for the 2-in-1 hack.

 

Having had the honor of visiting Bobby's home a few times over the years...I can attest that his collection is displayed BEAUTIFULLY. It is really something to behold. Pics and video don't do it justice. The screenshot above is but a fraction of his full set up. And it is constantly evolving, so it is better and better every time you see it.

 

They’ve clearly left room for more tiny figures and at least two more ships on this little stand....
