not if you paid extra for fedex home delivery shipping with insurance making it 2-5 days instead of 1-8 days. besides Ive seen fedex take care of packages and place them down, I've seen USPS throw packages and I dont want Unicron thrown

 

That's fair. I guess I just couldn't justify paying that much extra in shipping when they gave me a free option, especially after that $200 markup (besides, my local postman is pretty good at not tossing stuff). Also looking forward to spending the store points he's gonna earn me on a voyager class figure, gotta squeeze every last cent out of that markup lol

People are actually getting shipped notices from Hasbro Pulse?

 

No, not yet. We've all signed up for FedEx Delivery Manager and can see when labels are created for our address. (And in the case of Pulse specifically, do often get emails that things are on their way well before Pulse will email. Hasn't happened for Unicron yet though - but signing in shows they're prepping to.)

 

Just checked the Delivery Manager and my package from Catalina Vasquez is scheduled for Saturday the 13th! YES!!

Thanks to all you guys who posted the info regarding the Delivery Manager. I would have never known.

 

Just a reminder to all. Once they start shipping, your delivery date may change., depending on where you are. So it's best to stay flexable in case he shows up earlier or later than what fedex stated for you.

 

All I ask is he shows up while my wife is working

What I usually do for a "Signature Required" is, once it ships, I use the Fed Ex Manager to put a "Location Hold" on the package. You can have them take it to any Fed Ex near you from that selection list. In my town, there is a Fed Ex/Kinkos office right down the street from my work. The day of your delivery, the driver will take it there and you get a notification it's ready for pick up. Then you go and sign and they hand you the box. It's nice so I don't have to make arrangements to be home to prevent porch pirates or missing the driver to sign for it. It still gets to the location the same day because it's in town so it's no delay to do it for you.

Also, until I sign for it, it's STILL in Fed Ex hands at the location so if it's lost or something, it's still on them. I've done it with two expensive packages that needed signatures and it worked out really well. Might be an option for anyone else who might have issues being there to get it the day of delivery. Just make sure to put in the hold at location before the day of arrival or it might be too late to redirect it.

EDIT: Oh, if you want to do that with Unicron, the "Hold at location" option won't show in the manager until it actually ships.

 

Yeah, my expected date has already been pushed back a day. Expected ship date was 3/9 now 3/10 and arrival date went from 3/15 to 3/16--we'll see how many days that goes on.
