If we are talking strictly about G1 cartoon. Cybertron is very likely smaller than the Earth. Cartoon inconsistencies mean there is no definite measurement, but I believe its mostly agreed that g1 toon Cybertron is somewhere in-between half the size of earth, and the same size as our moon. Seeing as how Unicron can stand on Cybertron itself. It's likely Lithone was very small. (like the size of the Death Star)

Hey, that's your prerogative and I get it.

My POV is he's not any more different or less accurate than any other mainline figures are from the early renders/convention displays. It's just a fact of Transformers collecting that these things are going to happen. Which makes me think it's more likely these aren't the kinds of things Hasbro can plan for that far ahead, because they always happen.

And I get that people don't want to view this as a mainline figure because of the price, but this was always advertised as a mainline figure.

His face is too narrow. It makes him look effeminate. Easy pass.

Thanks mate. I think the best way to explain it to some others is essentially that the ‘maw’ area is the equivalent of the robot head for a lot of fans, as Unicron is one of the few Transformers which I feel are more iconic in alt mode than robot mode, and that is the focal point of that whole mode.

It’d be the equivalent of doing the most perfect Optimus Prime toy ever, then painting part of his head (say his visor, for example) red. Yes, it’s a colour still found on the rest of Optimus but it’s not a colour he’s ever had there before either.

And unfortunately I can’t swap it for another or easily repaint it (and imagine if I mess it up somehow and needed to buy a new Unicron now!)

This is perfect thanks! I’ve already wrote a message there now, and I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for the next streaming event to bring it up there too. I’ll also see if Kapow, as the official retail partner for this in the UK, can forward the issue on to Hasbro (not in a rude or demanding way of course!)

A hollow sphere that encloses a star to harness its energy and/or create a livable concave inner surface?

Let's say... a hollow sphere that eats a star to harness its energy.
That seems like a very geewunny thing to do, bad guys wanting energy.

I would love too! Do you know of a way to contact them in such a way where we could easily get an actual person in charge who would care/know enough to answer our questions properly instead of just getting a random rep who will give the non committal "It was advertised that finale colors would vary" response?

I don't. The only way I see it happening is if we all made a massive fuss about it on social media in a capacity they cant ignore, and I don't think enough people care that much to get every backer up in arms like that.

i think haslab should send new parts out with instructions on how to change the mouth because it's not what they advertised ! a lot of fans threw their hard earned cash at the kickstarter to make this happen because of how the planet mode looked so spot on so it's the least they could do ! it changes the whole look of the front which was perfect the way it was such a shame :(

we would need to make such a massive issue out of it in order to get Hasbro to even consider that. as it is i don't think enough people care.

It's like some of you have never preordered a Transformer before.

Canceled my Preorder, he's just too damn big, the planet mode is entirely inaccurate (it should have no molded detailing to be movie accurate!) not to forget that he has too much articulation...

I can see why you say that -- it's called "WFC Unicron" after all! -- but I don't think it's as cut and dried as that. Because if you look at the Haslab page, and attend to the way Hasbro reps talked, it seems to me that this was presented as something a cut above a regular retail release, and not just because of its size. For example, the Haslab page refers to it as having a "premium" (Hasbro's words not mine) deco. So while I think expecting something on the level of a Masterpiece was unrealistic and unwarranted, expecting something a little more than simply an oversized mainline release was not.

Hey if you guys are serious about sending him back to Hasbro, I know some people who'll take it off your hands for the same price Hasbro will pay.

The prototype didn't have them pop out on their own due to the engineering required, but no. This final one is on a spring and they pop out when the mouth opens. They only hide at all so the mouth can fully close.
