I mean, I guess... but we already know it was a success and there are many Hasbro properties left yet to cycle through. I don't expect another big TF project anytime soon. Especially with the titans class already existing.

As storage ideas go. The wife suggested something along the line of this for a display with other figures. I know they're not big enough but just some food for thought.

As some kind of miracle bonus we're combing the kitchen and dining room in our house and she says it'll look really good as an enclosed display piece instead of a cupboard or two! With full glass display top and sides! That's gonna be a tricky talk with the room design guys he he he.

Anymore ideas on display options? Do you want to display unicron with other figures? If so which ones? I would say what scale but its never gonna work.

    May the long wait continue.

I don’t agree with that. Unicron’s success simply means x amount of consumers felt Unicron was worth the price, not that those same consumers would find Primus or another character worth that price.

I'm not saying another transformers haslab project would get made because the number of backers on Unicron were high but if specifically the profit on Unicron was high than i see Hasbro doing another because money talks and they would want to try to replicate that success with a few improvements to how its sold. (like allowing international shipping frlm the get go or a payment plan) Maybe it doesn't succeed due to the reason you stated but money is still money and if hypothetical future transformers haslab projects keep making good profit than it would be safe to assume Hasbro would keep trying to find ways to milk more big budget figures.

So the question is, can they make them that big and still pass the drop test and other safety standards that Hasbro has to pass - otherwise it's not relevant.

Not applicable. Hasbro said the plastic couldn't hold the weight.

Their plastic they use.... not all plastic is the same and 3rd party doesnt have to worry about safety when they are picking out their plastics.

Given a senior designer mentioned how the plastic would collapse at any bigger a size, either FT is going to be mostly metal or they made a 3D render without thinking logistics (very likely)

I would suggest saving the shit talking for when they actually figure out how to make it a reality.

Remember though, Hasbro's market is very different from 3P's market. The later is not intended for kids. Not saying every Hasbro product is for kids, but Hasbro is mainly concerned about avoiding lawsuits. If that Unicron somehow falls and hits a kid, the parents would sue Hasbro the next minute even though it's their fault, because that's just how Murica is :)

3P, not sure why their plastics is more dangerous, I mean if I eat them both, I'll die right or are you saying, Hasbro's plastic would allow my body to pass that junk through?

Not necessarily, there was an article somewhere about people being upset plastic used in american products have certain environmental specifications( most likely how you deal with chemicals and whatnot in production and waste) versus plastic meant for chinese products that then get sold outside china in the US where they probably care less what they do to left over chemicals and waste. Basically the complaint was its put them at a disadvantage because it inturns cost them more to produce/buy suitable plastic.

Plastics cans be made into all kinds of very sturdy products that can hold weight. Just depends on what kind of plastics you use and how it’s designed

isn't most 3p known to have more brittle plastic? like Hasbro has to care whether the product will snap in half and stab you, while 3p doesn't. less bend isn't exactly the best, yet a lot of 3p don't have it.

There are a wide variety of materials used on a wide variety of product.

It will be interesting to get Unicron and ft40 in the same room.

It's going to be YEARS before that is a possibility, if ever.
I'll admit it, I'm skeptical it ever gets made. Unicron will be here in a little over a year.
