Not sure if it was mentioned yet, but where can we find a display case (glass or acrylic?) to fit him in? Like the ones they use at the convention, I guess.

Tap plastics or similar, you can build your own, not cheap, but I enjoyed doing so. Fyi, keep in mind how big the case is going to be, having a way to get inside it easily without moving the case is a big deal if you want good access to your collection.

Once I get a real good look at how the stand attaches to his planet mode I will use the same attachment point. It just comes down to the material to use. Not worried about the ceiling mount as it will get attached directly to a joist or rafter.

The ceilings should be fine, but I would worry that the unicron attachment may not hold up suspending the weight as opposed to holding it up from the ground

I would never hang him from my ceiling, bracketed or not. That's a disaster waiting to happen if you ask me. Especially with hardwood floor. I'll be doing what peaugh suggested and using his shipping box to display him on.

I agree! The depth is going to be at least double what most display cases are. Unicron with the stand is very high, wide, and deep. This isn’t like the regular titans or combiners. He is huuuuuge. I’ve gotten one quote for a 36x36x36 (display area) museum pedestal so far. I’m looking at $2k and that’s with an acrylic top. I haven’t decided if that is the route I’m going to go yet, but it gives me a good starting point. I won’t make any commitments for at least a year, and hopefully, we will have exact dimensions with the stand by then.

If I was going to hang him from the ceiling (and I likely will, at least in planet mode) I would custom build a case connected directly to the ceiling rafters/joists. If I'm going for a rougher look, it would simply be 2x4s connected directly to the ceiling, with acrylic sheets from Lowe's screwed to it.
The weight of Unicron himself is really being overblown by a lot of people on here, desks and/or proper display cases are more than enough to hold it. As long as it is properly secured so he doesn't topple over, there's not going to be a problem.

I'm just going to put mine on a low table. He's to play with not display. Easy done.

I'll have room for him in my case in robot mode, but planet mode is definitely going to be a challenge. It's very hard to find good large cases that provide great visibility with air tightness and easy lighting ability. Very hard, very expensive too of course.

Very likely I will wait until I get him to make any final determinations. Happy to have these challenges though.

Not the clearest picture, but his should be everything one needs to determine the size of their display case:

So...the stand is approximately 24" deep.

Great shot. Better than some of the others I've seen. Thanks for sharing!

I'd take prints of those over the slugs.

Has anyone looked onto attaching a wall mounted tv stand to his display stand? It would include stud attachments, have a flex bar and be weight rated.

Why not just replace the stand with something custom and metal? I'd still look to put a mini-shelf (hardwood) under it for support. Well, tiny as the width x 12" deep is. It's a good idea ... something I've never thought of.
