If Hasbro was going to make a storage option in the stand something accessible from the top that utilized a drawer similar to what Bandai does with SOC figures would have been cool.

Yep. No problems there at all.

Especially people's concern for the maw, nice to see no one has brought it up any more...I still don't have mine yet, but looking forward to appreciating it...

Is there anyone who has Unicron that also owns the Takara Creator Primus? I really wanna see a comparison between these two figures.

I bought one specifically go go with Unicron for when he arrives and I'm getting impatient! lol

Different colors, but same mold, if that helps.

thanks, but I have seen this particular comparison a few times now, I am looking specifically for the creator repaint.

IMO the creator Primus is the definitive Primus figure and I wanted to see it along side the definitive Unicron.

Weigh yourself while holding Unicron, then subtract your weight.

My wife did that for me. According to her my Unicron + stand weigh 78 pounds.

I was gonna do something exactly like this, but after doing a bit of research, I found a pretty nice tv turntable that I discussed in the Unicron fixes thread. It's only a bit pricier than picking up your own turntable hardware plus a slab of lumber. You just need to remove the back leg of the Unicron stand to get it to fit, but it works great without taking up much space.

The only problem is that you still have to figure out how to keep the Unicron stand from sliding around on top of it. Granted, you have to deal with that either way with a slab of wood...but it's definitely something to keep in mind.

More progress on panel lining. I figure I'll be done in the same amount of time it took Haslabs to manufacture Unicron... DSC05626.JPG DSC05627.JPG

Whoa, he looks gorgeous with the panel lining. How long did it take you to do what you had so far?

Thank you Insecticon! It really does bring out all the detail they put into him and I'm not even that great at panel lining :D  The arms took about 8 hours, the head probably 4 and I still have the damaged face plate to do. Gravity is what adds a lot of time since I'm doing a wash vs. a pen so I have to keep the surface level to Earth. I wanted the unclean wash look vs. the crisp pen lines. The body is going faster but still about 2 hours to do the chest and front skirt.

Someone more experienced could get it done in half the time I'm sure but there's just SO MUCH detail to line so maybe not :D

I'm also using a toothpick instead of a brush and I wish I knew this when I panel lined my Gundam and Devastators... 100x easier than even the finest brush, no load up issues, and holds about 2 drops per dip which is almost perfect :)

There goes another hour of my life :D  It's not so much the painting, it's the clean up then re-filling, then clean up. I do use a Gundam marker for the very shallow spots but that stuff does not clean up easy on the plastics they used vs. the Acrylic wash so it's a last resort. And yes I'm using Pledge to water the wash down ;)

Ha Ha Ha.... Staying Aliiiii-IIIII-iiivvveeee!!!!!! Stayin Alive!

BTW painting the painted parts on every area with Acrylic kinda sucks. You can not fully clean the area otherwise you'll take the original paint off. That was the biggest challenge with the head since the panel lines were heavily filled in with the heavy coat of paint they applied. Lovin this guy tho :)  DSC05635.JPG
