My Unicron package was damaged during shipping and Hasbro is not going to anything to make it right. I feel like with the price we paid for this item it should be perfect.

 

As much as I myself love boxes to be intact, I don’t think any 3p company or toy company has ever covered damaged boxes.

with everything I've heard, it seems like they've been very cooperative to those who had shipping discrepancies.

 

It looks like FedEx dropped something on the shipping box and the impact was enough to damage a corner of the Unicron box. Hasbro told me there was nothing they could do because it doesn't meet there environmental sustainability efforts.

 

This is the only filler that has fallen out on mine.

You and me both. Mine has a fist sized hole punched into the side. You can see the crushed white Styrofoam from the outside. What the hell was that FedEx guy doing to my box?

 

Sorry to hear that. Did Hasbro give you the same BS line about sustainability they gave me.

 

I didn't bother calling them. I'll open it up in a few days when I have a few solid hours to myself to enjoy the experience. If nothing is damaged, I'll live with it. But had I called and heard their BS , I'd be pissed too.

Might not be FedEx as my box had a hole ripped into the corner but it was is another shipper since it came from The Chosen Prime, and that box was pristine.

Maybe someone who handled the boxes initially. Idk what the shipping process is for people who backed via HasLab/Pulse.

 

I’m based in Tokyo and just in today my Japan ‘Takaratomy Mall’ Unicron (I backed through them) was delivered.

I was happily surprised that they shipped in a Takaratomy mailer box, which contains the boxed Unicron inside it, fits like a glove literally. I’m totally keeping that TT mailer box.

The Takaratomy release has a Japanese sticker on the Unicron box, on the top. I guess that makes it a release variant!- I didn’t expect TT to add that sticker, since it was not offered for mass retail.

I was expecting to receive it shipped in the actual Unicron box only, but anyways I’m really not sure if people in the US and Canada received their boxed Unicron inside a mailer box as well(?) I have been under the impression that the Unicron boxes were gonna be shipped as is.

I can’t wait to open it and see if the instructions are reprinted in Japanese language, or if TT included an extra Japanese instructions along with the English one, I have no idea yet but I’ll find out soon.

That being said, a big ‘I feel you’ going to all the buyers who received their boxes damaged somehow in the mail...I’m quite shocked to read the posts here about FedEx and/or Hasbro staff just handling this like potato bags it seems.

I gotta say I feel lucky as my box arrived mint completely, inside its TT ‘glove’ mailer box, which came to me almost pristine, with no more than very light scuffs on some corners. I’ve been in Japan for years and I gotta say the way staffers handle mail & parcels here is top notch, super careful and professional.

 

Cool, now I can't stop picturing in my head him dueling with Fortress Maximus. I wonder if that Jinbao sword separately on ebay....quickly question, can Unicron hold it solidly enough? Are the joints strong enough to support the weight?

 

I can't figure out how to get Unicron on the stand.

The instructions just show you plopping it on there, but I just don't see it...

There's a small panel that also has to untab in order to get the stand in.

It's also easier, at least for me, to plop Unicron upside down (on a rug to avoid scuffing paint), and then putting the stand in that way.

The tabs on the handle don't plug in, but they can be arranged to fit into the hollow plastic areas of the hands. He can solidly hold sword upright but then becomes increasingly unstable when rotated to the sides.

 

I second this as it is how I did it. I inverted him on a soft towel with the two sides un-tabbed and using a flashlight to illuminate the area where the stand slots in. Once you can see the slot it just slides in with moderate force (it is snug for a reason). Also, make sure you put the plug/stopper in the back of the stand to keep it from sliding apart. Did not notice that piece until after I got him on the stand; wondered why the stand was sliding apart.
