    Damn, that's pretty sweet.

Honestly, if they made one of the selling features that you could display both at the same time, that would've made the price even more justified.

Success! Took a full day of printing and pretty much another to put things together. A quick shot, I'm tired and my fingers are aching.

Perhaps it was due to me printing with more depth to edges and infill, are you expecting the beams to flex? I ended up having to use a hacksaw (I really should get a Dremel) to the beams. About 1/2 inch on either side and almost 3/4 inch for the centre beam.

Don't look behind! Nothing to see here...

What wings are those? I've got the planet frame printed but I was about half way though my first wing before I found the V2 versions. They are taking forever to print and if those wings are purchasable, I may want to go that route.

They’re the upgraded ring/wings for the Studio01/Zeta Cell.

That explains why they seem a little on the small side

I hope I’m not cramping your style on this post but as a designer I want to first thank you for the leg work you did on this. I’m in process of reworking this design for a better fit and better prints.
I use resin printing for the details and FDM for the bars and inside adapters.

I have been in school since Unicron came out and have not had time until now to do this but it was on my first priority list.

since I did use the upgrade download to set up my files I’ll affect the STL for those parts free and will be selling printed parts or Casted parts of the rest.
Here is what I have so far.

    That looks awesome!

Do you think it’s possible to include some kind of a lot for the spike strips to tab into on either side?

This is a pretty cool idea 2 for 1 (if I had the space).

    How are you connecting them?
Not sure I want to go down the shell seperation route but wouldn't mind slightly smaller wings to fit in my display space.

... Or maybe just some kind of articulated connection for the existing wings to sweep back.

No customizations necessary. The Cell upgraded wings can slide into Unicron’s wing slots. You can’t rotate them around the slot as the fitting is a bit loose. May be able to stuff it with some blue tack or paper to rotate them back. The Cell wings are on a triple hinge system, so you can get them to flat out more or up more above the shoulders.

Anyone got a good spray paint color match for those wings? I tried Rust-oleum Marigold and its still a tad too yellow.

I’m actually taking the parts down to Blick today to get the color match.

Just an update but I have most of the kinks worked out on the internal kit wish I’ll put up for download. the back plate is done and I’ll be selling the prints for this using a custom blend of materials for the spikes to be flexible and mimicking the flex on the rest of the spikes.

Looks great! and no the beams do not flex. We printed it with .20 infill and to be sure to say in here that when assembling the kit the long beams that connect the wings slide into the main hub part first and then the beam to the back of the planet mode slides in after. A few people were sliding in the back beam first which causes it to be longer than it should be on the sides
