The most likely Victory-adjacent release we might see around Deathsaurus's release is a repaint or partial of the Core Dinobots -> Dinoking. Maybe in a Selects release with a cool new weapon? Otherwise, there aren't really any molds available to do any other Victory characters right now

Hey, who wants to start complaining because the "Legacy Evolution" logo will be slapped on the DZ box? We can never start too early blowing something insignificant into a major disaster!

yeah, like the Rancor before it, that ML set just looked WAY, WAY overpriced for what you got. Electronics just aren't that expensive. That set had been $200-250 and I think it'd have funded no problem, but nothing about that set (or the Rancor) didn't look like they wouldn't/couldn't have been a $100 retail release NOT that long ago.

VS and Dezarus, while pricey, seem "fairly" pricey, basically in "convention exclusive" strata.

Well, there's always those two nameless Desperados who Star Saber beat up in the first episode. Maybe retools of some Weaponiser parts? Slammer's head might work with the right paint job, for example.

And I think that a couple of generic Autobot soldiers appeared in an episode when they got knocked out by Hellbat? If I remember right, one of them had a faceplate and the other didn't.

Dinoforce, Clipper, and Riker are all available as Dinobots, Haywire and another random Micromaster. Then throw in some stuff like a toy stile rifle for Deathsaurus and a smaller scaled sword for Saber to use. And if possible, maybe Jan in Illumina II. Presto. Gen Selects Victory expansion pack with minimal new mold stuff

I do think that was one major advantage Deathsaurus had compared to other Haslabs. His sheer size and included accessories already made him seem more value for money than stuff like the Rancor or the Engine of Vengeance.

As mentioned earlier, the Rancor's design had some issues people found...shall we say "inelegant"? In regards to the EoV, I have no emotional attachment to Robbie Reyes (and I frankly always found his design kind of stupid), but I did like how the LEDs worked with the various flame parts. However, that was nowhere near enough to convince me to put down the amount of money they were asking for, and none of the tiers they offered changed my mind at all.

Another factor is that for me, Deathsaurus is actually cheaper than Victory Saber. In local currency, I paid about $350 for Victory Saber, while Deathsaurus is $310. That made him even more attractive.

But honestly, Deathsaurus is one of my favourite villains full stop, so if I'm being honest I would've bought ANY Deathsaurus they released. Er... any G1 accurate Deathsaurus, anyway.

It's very up in the air whether Straxus is coming or not. We got a listing for "Darkmount" last year, but within that same day we got notified that it might have been a mislabeled TM2 Megs, and we haven't heard anything since.
It's not impossible that he's coming, in fact I think it's likely. But I don't think that leak was anything other then a mistake.

It's been a big year, and will be a few big years, for MIA bad guys. Insecticons, Stunticons, Knock-Out, Tarantulas, Jhiaxus, Decepticon Pretenders, BW Inferno and TM2 Megs, Tarn, Sideways, The Fallen, Needlenose, Crankcase, Armada Starscream, Prime Skyquake and seemingly G1 Skyquake. All characters who haven't gotten a figure in more then 10 years or so.
And that's not even counting the shit that hasn't been revealed or had a figure leaked yet.

I know I'm late to the party in reacting to the surprise Micromasters in the Deathzaurus set, but I for one am really glad for the nice bonus. I was feeling the VS micros were redundant since they're REALLY similar to the ones released in Siege. I was even considering getting Core 86 Ratchet to repurpose as Fixit/Pipo, but Cores have been really hit or miss, with the later ones being kinda trash. Now I can safely skip Ratchet.

The leaked listing was replaced by Transmetal Megatron, if I recall correctly. I don't know if that means that the design was simply bumped to a later slot somewhere, if it means the design was scrapped, or if it was a sort of place-holder text in the inventory system (it happens) and there never was going to be a Straxus.

The Straxus toy is hanging out with the Gears toy that was teased to come out a couple years ago.

So TFSource still has Deathsaurus available for PreOrder then? I thought all shops had a deadline?

Did anyone get it from there and put it in their Stack? If so, did they charge you for it this week if it was put in the Stack, or they charge when it comes out next fall? I assume you cannot use Paypal option for the PreOrder?

    Thanks!

TF Source probably ordered more units than the orders they received during the campaign.

Before regretting in the end, if your "online vendor" allows a down payment then go for it. Same model I'm doing. As I mentioned in theVS thread for the umpteenth time, I cancelled my Pulse Order and opted for a local source because the Canadian route, in my case would cost more(taxes etc).
