Yes and no.

Yes in the sense that this is the first team to be completed with all unique molds. No in the sense that they did complete the Racetrack Patrol but it was just repaints.

Alone? Because, as I said, it's rather difficult for me to imagine Hasbro doing that. We've never had such a small exclusive, I don't think.

If paired with something else, what do you imagine? I suppose they could be paired with the other Rescue Patrol members, but I don't think that would work for a lot of folks who got them (and knew they were getting them beforehand) with Victory Saber.

 

Honestly I think this is hilarious. I was literally looking at my Haslab Holi this morning, thinking about how he was missing half his team. "Of course we'll never get the boat guy... That would need a brand new mold!" I thought  

Maybe they had molds for these guys already made that weren't going to see mainline release (given how they're not doing micromasters for the time being), so they decided just to throw them in with Deathsaurus?

So sad I missed deathsaurus and now they’re adding micro masters? I’ll make a few new threads and post about how deathsaurus should get a second run or at least the new exclusive micromaster molds should be sold at retail.

 

I wouldn't go that far, but I do think they leave themselves the option in exactly this way.

As it is, there's no "justification" at all. It costs them more to offer this little "thank you" than it would have done to never produce them at all, and none of us would ever have known.

 

Well this is a nice surprise. Hope they hold together a little better than Hori and Fire. 

 

If you want to get all technical about it, "Free Shipping" from retailers isn't really free either.  

 

Raise your hand if you would've been incentived to back Deathsaurus, or having the sole reason be, if you know you could finish the Micromaster team/get those characters!

... I'm probably the only one who's a little disappointed that they don't look like they combine into a ridiculous weapon, aren't I? I know it wasn't what they originally did, but it makes them out of place with the other updated Micromasters, except for Countdown.
