Unfortunately, based off the core class Dinobots they’ve revealed and the core class hot rod, I’m not so sure Hasbro is really concerned if they’re very good. They would just rather put something on the shelves for kids to have since they’ve already on putting out the more collector focused versions with SS86 Dinobots/Hot Rod and HasLab Victory Saber and the imminent Deathsaurus.

Can't wait when the crowdfunding closes in less than 24 hours & the final tally is announced thereafter.

Gonna get all the Nostradamus' post they predicted the correct final backer number. Nevermind all their other wrong guesses peppered throughout this thread.

The sell to the kids part has and will always be the MO of Hasbro. We who are/were young once are like the noisy minority in the internet. Whether it be TF, MotU, GI Joe etc etc. It's always kids first for HB, Mattel,TT (not sure with Bandai), we in the internet most/all of the times make it sound like "we are legion, for we are many " when in fact it ain't the case. Hence, these CFs are indeed a godsend to us young once for our "we wished for this figures" that the mainline can't release or isn't economically feasible.

While we wait for Deathsaurus to wrap up, I took the Haslab promo pics and pieced this together. It's 16x9 so if you want to use it for a desktop background or whatever, go ahead. It's gonna be a long wait til we get Deathsaurus in hand! I'm hoping for an October arrival! 20221211_235703.png

You think that's bad?? I cracked opened my MISB G1 Victory Deathsaurus for this highly anticipated Haslab perfection.

Hahah. We are of one mind. I made use of the Spark Armour versions of Skybyte, Jetfire and Ratchet to represent them in my Legends/Core class collection. I replaced Ratchet with the SS86 version because he was too big, but I was quite happy otherwise.

Heh. I specifically didn't include Kingdom Hot Rod and Legacy Shockwave in the list of Core classes I'm happy with because I just didn't find them fun to play with and so unsuitable for my niece and nephew. If I get frustrated with a transformation scheme, there's a good chance they will be too.

Oh, please don't misunderstand, I'm certainly not expecting to be catered to if they opt to make retail versions of Star Saber and Deathsaurus because I'm fully sated by the Haslab versions (plus, it's not like just because a TF is aimed towards kids it's automatically bad). But it's also true that I do expect quality work before I'm going to buy something for my niece and nephew to play with.

Like that huge Cyberverse Volcanicus? Garbage. Dinobots Unite Sludge, Snarl and Slug? Got all of those and my niece was able to figure out how to transform Sludge and Snarl after a few tries even without instructions. They spend most of their time in dino mode, though, because most kids love dinosaurs.

This is what Deathsaurus beamed to Earth's tv stations as his Planet Destroying Fortress got into position.

Dude, already? They couldn\'t have picked a worse time to roll this out. I literally just got victory saber. I haven\'t even unboxed it yet. Not only that, but it\'s Christmas. I already spent all my money on presents this month. I literally can\'t afford it. I could have bought this if they had waited a month, but because they\'re releasing it now, they lose at least one sale. Genius, hasbro.

There are no backer numbers. People just look at the number shown on the Pulse page when they back and say "that's me", but there's no actual connection (and I would be surprised if there wasn't a lag of a couple of minutes).

What's "nasty" about this? Also, while Hasbro labels it backers, it is in fact number of orders. If you order three, the counter goes up for three orders, not for one backer.

I suspect that 1 lost sale doesn't much matter at this point (with the order numbers having just ticked over to 18200 of 11000 required). And also, the campaign has been going for 6 weeks now. Seems a reasonable amount of time to make arrangements.

Actually, comparing this figure to how he looks in the show, the colors look a LOT better on the figure than the rather muted blue in the show.
(I know everyone probably noticed this already but I'm not the kind of guy to throw animation models next to toys)

For Hasbro Pulse shop for US and Canada, when do they charge your Credit Card for Deathsaurus? It will charge the full amount this month or when it ships later next year?

I ask as some shops in Asia look to charge a deposit only and full amount only when it ships...but don't ship to Canada for some reason. Thanks.
