Hmm, no Gun Megatron Haslab but perhaps the last unique Megatron?

Wait wait wait...the guy who thinks Animated is too niche for HasLab is suggesting an Omnibot/Powerdasher playset?

I feel like Megatron is in the same boat as Optimus. The name value at retail disqualifies him for HasLab.

Shut it. You’re most definitely NOT using “company logic” to frame your opinions. You’re looking for a reason to belittle us about our favorite show.

Personally I see this as a mainline figure over Haslab. I think there is enough nostalgia to sell this at retail.

Magnaboss vs Tripredacus is the obvious choice for next HasLab. It's a new continuity for HL, it's higher risk (doing a versus set, BW), the figures don't have to work at retail price points to make all the proportions work, and it's cool. I don't even collect BW and I'd probably get it if the price worked.

If Super Megatron can be retail through selects any Megatron can be retail.

True but that was more of a Takara product than Hasbro. Hasbro is only imported it over and kept it as a selects.

Still if a Megatron happens it will be retail like Optimus or Bee.

Actually, it is an honest question. Outside of message boards, how many out there have been pining for Animated?
There's a slight difference to be made, though. Both VS and DZ have shown up in IDW comics. Star Saber wins polls in Japan.

I simply question the popularity going into Haslab Victory Saber is the same as the popularity would be for Animated Omega Supreme.

Now, as Hasbro is apparently dipping the toe in the water for Animated with a couple of Generations releases, perhaps sales will lean them one way or the other. Right now, though, they've done nothing to stoke the Animated embers and Animated Omega Supreme simply wouldn't look right on modern shelves without being "G1-ified", as Hasbro has been likely to do with not-G1 releases.

So, yeah, if you ARE an Animated fan, buy multiples of those upcoming Prowl and Lockdowns if you want to prove your point to Hasbro. Because...I dunno, just feels awfully iffy for a Haslab.

Like I said earlier, expecting combiner teams like the Constructions (who could easily be justified for mass retail given how well the Stunticons turned out) and previously released Titan and Commander class figures wouldn't be the kind of figures to expect from Haslab. With the 40th anniversary, I imagine they would want to release something that wouldn't be seen in most mainlines. Animated Omega Supreme, Dai Atlas, Primus, Prime video game Thunderwing, and as brought up earlier the Beast Wars combiners could be viable options to consider.

I have a question if you guys don't mind. I haven't been keeping up with Habro Pulse stuffs, but this figure caught my attention and interest. My question is: would you say Habro Pulse figures are of high-end "Masterpiece quality" (in term of materials, engineering, paints etc .)? Or are they more like "higher quality CHUG"?

The latter. These are Generations toys that don't fit the retail model or timetable, basically.

Why do both when you could do one, ensure it succeeds, and then do a second? The benefit being you keep costs down on both and let people budget separately.

I agree they're good candidates. Especially since they've got counterparts in JP media.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Hassenfeld Brothers,

If you are reading this I propose a HasLab Sky Garry because I like his name.

    Thank you

The hand painted one was revealed during the campaign. You might be thinking of production samples.
