So, nothing new The first Hascon in rather a disappointment:(  And they gave HOF to Bonaventura, who likely was the author of writers room idea and ruined TF4 course. Thank you dude:mad
It wasn't shit, it was great, but repeating of it sounds boring:(

Yawn. I'm not getting any hopes up. Appealing as it sounds having a period film, this is more Hollywood doubling down on nostalgia like The Farce Awakens by leveraging us 80s kids. Nostalgia is comforting, not thrilling. TLK tried nostalgia with call backs to the 07 film and failed at it.

Bruce Brazzos points for trying though.

At this point, I highly doubt there will be any Movie toys revealed at the last panel. Just going to have one last look at those leaked pictures until it flies away.

It was not that bad of an idea for a side story, but this is far from what Transformers is or should be about. And the execution of the idea is in fact, shit.

Actualyl the "author" of the writers room was Bay himself, not Lorenzo, as Bay told the CEO of Paramount to invest money to get a group fo writters to plan out the future movies

Lets give this movie the benefit of the doubt, its the FIRST movie that is not directed by Micheal Bay and the fact that its set 20 years before the first movie, gives Travis Knight alot more freedom to do the movie he wants to make, since he's not handcuffed to the other films, since they havent taken place yet.

From an interview with Empire Magazine
    [IMG]

It says there in Bay portion of the interview that he told Brad Grey then CEO of Paramount to invest money on a team of writers, since he was concerned that the franchise could die after AOE came out

That's not true. Just like the Star Wars prequels and Rogue One, we already know major events that have to take place so it doesn't matter what the film does, it's all irrelevant in the eyes of the TF franchise at large because the points exist where the story has to lead to.

Doesn't it still take place within the Bayverse? Isn't it about Bay's version of Bumblebee? Isn't it a script from the writers sessions approved by Bay and Bonaventura? Does it sound like they are learning? Then no. Absolutely no. We have been fooled too many times.

Yesit takes place in the bayverse, and yes its Bay's Bumblebee and yes they were approved by them, but that does not mean the movie will suck. if Bay was directing, then for sure we know what kind of movie we are getting (not that it bothers me), but we dont know what kind of movie we will get with Travis at the helm. and now that Paramount and Hasbro knows they arent critic-proof, its possible (not guarranted) they will try to change some stuff if they want those movies to make profit

Did Wonder Woman suck?, a movie about the Snyder version of WW, set in the same DCEU many fans hate, with a treatment written by Snyder, produced by Snyder, No, same can apply to Transformers films set in the bayverse.

Heck whose to say a transformers reboot wont be worse to the eyes of many fans?, look at the Fantastic Four, they rebooted, but didnt worked. Reboots dont guarrante a better movie every time.

But this is not a case of a team of people who genuinely try to make it right and listen to the fans. And to put the blame solely on Bay for this whole series is not wise, I think. These are not auteur movies. It doesn't matter who is directing so much, because the foundation is crooked beyond repair, in its conception.

Can't agree, he and Ehren Kruger have said after AOE premiere, that they have a bunch of ideas about mythology and creation and that they will show that Transformers is more than the fight between Autobots and Decepticons. And that's obvious, that they had ready ideas about TF5 at that moment, otherwise they wouldn't end AOE on a cliffhanger. The article dated summer 2017, when the course already changed. They already shut up his mouth. Also franchise could die after AOE??? It sounds ridiculous, AOE was as successful as DOTM, got better critical responce and leave many loose ends, where cinematic universe should start. Even if MB asked to hire the writers, he didn't asked to change the course. TF5 isn't a fully Michael Bay film at all. Corporates demanded too much from the him. Look at the Rock, Armageddon, Perl Harbor, TFs 1-4, they all have many similar things - inspiration, heroism, balance between awesome action and calmly scenes. TF5 hasn't his style at all. He just was shooting, but wasn't making the movie as deep as always, even the writers said that they met MB only once, but during DOTM and AOE production Ehren Kruger created the script TOGETHER with Michael Bay.
