Here's what Hasbro gave us in their press release back at Toyfair-
Now that Botcon has come and gone, the lists fill out quite nicely-

    Deluxe (Hasbro said 24)-
    1. Soundwave
    2. Preview Bumblebee
    3. Breakaway
    4. Sideways
    5. Sideswipe
    6. Rampage
    7. Skids
    8. Desert Brawl
    9. Chromia
    10. Wheelie
    11. Smokescreen
    12. Cannon Bumblebee
    13. Interrogator Barricade
    14. Ravage
    15. Mudflap
    16. Ice Cream Twins
    17. Swerve
    18. Dead End
    19. Jolt
    20. Arcee
    21. Stalker Scorponok
    22. Gears
    23. Blazemaster
    24. Landmine repaint (listed in Walmart computers)
    25. “SUV” (listed in Walmart computers, NOT Gears or Wheelie)
    26. Dirge (show by Hasbro at Botcon)
    27. Lockdown (shown by Hasbro at Botcon)
    28. Third motorcycle (confirmed by Hasbro)
    29. Ratchet (shown by Hasbro at Botcon)
    30. Red Bulldozer (probably a Rampage repaint, listed in Walmart computers)

    Voyager (Hasbro said 11)-
    1. Optimus Prime
    2. Ironhide
    3. Starscream
    4. Demolishor
    5. The Fallen
    6. Desert Tracker Ratchet
    7. Megatron
    8. Mixmaster
    9. Stratosphere
    10. Longhaul
    11. Grindor
    12. Jungle Fury Ironhide (shown by Hasbro at Botcon)
    13. Bludgeon (shown by Hasbro at Botcon)
    14. Ratchet (listed in Walmart computers, NOT Desert Tracker)
    15. G1 Mixmaster (possible store exclusive)

    So,
-These numbers are to be taken with a grain of salt (remember, their original numbers included 2 more Universe Deluxes than we actually got)

-Those numbers are the "cut-off" for the 2009 product, meaning the other stuff will count as "2010" (we got "2009" figures in late 2008 with the first wave of 25th Anniversary branded deluxes)

-A mix of all of the above. Some figures are already confirmed to be 2010 releases anyway, but the ROTF line might run past its original quota in 2009 as well.

You mention Bludgeon as a Voyager, I thought he was the Wreckage repaint in the TRU 2-pack with the While repaint of Evac?

Hasbro showed a new Voyager Bludgeon mold at Botcon in their private panel.

I went ahead and edited my original post to show where all the "unseen-so-far" figures are coming from for people who aren't in the know.

Deluxe Ratchet was also shown at the panel, came with an EMP blaster that can also be used by Deluxe Lockdown ala the original Animated pairing.

Maybe the Hasbro numbers don't include repaints and only refer to how many are all new molds. It's something I wondered myself.

That could work, but does that factor in retools too? Some are just new head molds ala Swerve, and others have quite a bit to them (Cannon Bee).

Cannon Bumblebee is basically counted as a new toy with that amount of work. I recall Hasbro once stated that Cybertron Dark Crumplezone was at the time the absolute limit of remolding - and that was the same basic transformation with a completely different body shell.

Compare Cannon Bumblebee, who has a similar transformation but many reengineered parts, and he is also being made at a time when things are a little more expensive (compare any current Voyager with Dark Crumplezone). I'd say that would push him into the territory of new mold at least in terms of costings. The whole thing probably got reworked from the ground up leaving very little practical difference.

Also as regards the discrepancy in the numbers - Skystalker, Brakedown, Lockdown, Bludgeon and company were all confirmed for 2010, no indication of when. Also, those figures indicated that Animated would carry on, etc, which suggests that plans changed. From what Hasbro said at various points at Botcon, there was a demand for more realistic vehicles, for more detail in designs, so perhaps we are seeing a shift in plans. After all, that was February, and we are now talking about toys coming out in September - October onwards.

Starscream was shown at Botcon too, so he should be part of your list. I fnd it funny that press release states three leaders and it's now been confirmed to be four.

The third bike was also confirmed as just a retool/repaint, along with Swerve and Dead End. If the number 24 was pertaining to all new molds, there are things up Hasbro's sleeve we don't know of yet. I want that to be the case so hopefully they are holding back some surprises. But I kind of feel like they are trying to make less toys than they did with the first movie. Maybe it just seems that way though.

Actually, judging by what we know about what's coming out in 2010, these numbers fill out VERY well:

    Deluxe (Hasbro said 24)-
    1. Soundwave
    2. Preview Bumblebee
    3. Breakaway
    4. Sideways
    5. Sideswipe
    6. Rampage
    7. Skids
    8. Desert Brawl
    9. Chromia
    10. Wheelie
    11. Smokescreen
    12. Cannon Bumblebee
    13. Interrogator Barricade
    14. Ravage
    15. Mudflap
    16. Ice Cream Twins
    17. Swerve
    18. Dead End
    19. Jolt
    20. Arcee
    21. Stalker Scorponok
    22. Gears
    23. Blazemaster
    24. Landmine repaint (listed in Walmart computers)
CUTOFF POINT-- Looks like we have one deluxe coming this year we haven't seen (could be the Landmine repaint), and that's it.
    25. “SUV” (listed in Walmart computers, NOT Gears or Wheelie)
    26. Dirge (show by Hasbro at Botcon)
    27. Lockdown (shown by Hasbro at Botcon)
    28. Third motorcycle (confirmed by Hasbro)
    29. Ratchet (shown by Hasbro at Botcon)
    30. Red Bulldozer (probably a Rampage repaint, listed in Walmart computers)

    Voyager (Hasbro said 11)-
    1. Optimus Prime
    2. Ironhide
    3. Starscream
    4. Demolishor
    5. The Fallen
    6. Desert Tracker Ratchet
    7. Megatron
    8. Mixmaster
    9. Stratosphere
    10. Longhaul
    11. Grindor
CUTOFF POINT-- Others coming out in 2010, some of those may be possible store exclusives-- fits number perfectly
    12. Jungle Fury Ironhide (shown by Hasbro at Botcon)
    13. Bludgeon (shown by Hasbro at Botcon)
    14. Ratchet (listed in Walmart computers, NOT Desert Tracker)
    15. G1 Mixmaster (possible store exclusive)

Starscream is in 2010. So there ARE three leaders this year.

    ^Fantastic.

Just makes me wonder if that's really it though. Assuming they don't have more planned for this year, all of the Voyager waves except the last one (Longhaul and Grindor) have seen release. I know that Wave 2, 3 and 4 still haven't hit saturation yet, but if that's the case these things got out fast.

I don't think we should count repaints as new toys. They're variation of the same mold, so I'd say G1 Mixmaster wouldn't get his own entry. Characters like Dead End and Swerve are tricky, since they DO feature a new head..

So if they do Scrapper and Hightower as toys we probably won't see them until next year right?

Yeah, they're a way off if at all. I think if they were in the works, we would have seen them at Botcon.

Well, first off remember that usually the first wave of stuff for the next year ends up hitting shelves in the holiday season of the year before. So we'll probably see some of the "2010" figures in November or December.

Also, Hasbro definitely wants to get out as much as they can when the movie is front-and-center in kids' minds-- I mean, honestly, I can't remember a time where so much Transformers product has come out in just 2 weeks' time. People are already getting frustrated over all the "old Wave 1" stuff, but that stuff's been on the shelves all of half a month.

Comparative to now, I expect things to slow down dramatically come the end of summer.

So you're referring to an Animated Ratchet? I thought this thread was about ROTF toys.

No, he's talking about a deluxe new mold ROTF Ratchet. But Hasbro showed us at Botcon that ROTF Ratchet & Lockdown will have the same interchangable-weapon feature as the Animated toys and will have a similar rivalry.

^What he said, which why I only said "ala the original Animated pairing".

And I hope you're right about the slowdown. Not even a month after the launch date and I don't know how much farther I can stretch my funds. Store exclusives aside, I should be alright.
