Just seen this flash up on Facebook, anyone have any ideas?
At 24 inches tall it's seems too big to be a Premium Optimus Prime by 3A / ThreeZero
It is licensed by Hasbro though
Here's some information re IIES
"Internal Interconnect Endoskeleton System (IIES)
IIES definition mean the internal frame design, all the moveable gears are independent however movement is driven between the connected gear parts like a real machine."
To sum up that description, all you need to know is "expensive".
Still, I am quite intrigued.
Ah, saw the thread title and thought an Optimus Prime movie had been officially announced(besides Lorenzo’s insane ramblings.)
^And also this
This seems a highly detailed action figure. I edited the title with the proper name of the Hasbro and Yolopark collaboration. I haven't heard of them before.
Well this just sounds awesome, gonna need to see more.
Cybertronian form, but he has Rain-X windshield wipers?
I need this one. I wonder how this figure holds up against three zero. Render looks highly detailed though.
Huh. So, like, a giant poseable Optimus that could probably work in scale with 6"-7" action figures? That's pretty sweet but like @Yaujta said, probably gonna cost a few kidneys.
Anybody know what else this company has made
just follow the link and go to their FB page
Rain-X was actually developed from Cybertronian technology.
You never know when it starts to rain on a metal planet.
tbf the models in that film were hastily done because the budget didn't allow them to get more detailed and varied.
Given the 3A one exists, I don't see a reason for this to exist unless they somehow have it be cheaper....
Threezero did do upscaled action figures for Bumblebee and Blitzwing tho so if they also make one for Optimus it'll butt heads with the yolopark one
I just don't see the point in a non-transformable toy at this scale. but whatever.
I'm still getting TW Freedom Leader. That's my definitive bee movie Prime.
Ironically though, he should be LESS detailed---no wipers, no rivet-heads.
What sets this apart from the ThreeZero OP figure besides the size? It sounds almost identical: highly detailed, metal internal frame, non-transforming.
I think it's because the Earth model came first. The concept art talks about how they were originally going to create an alternative design for Cybertronian Prime, but they just opted to make slight modifications to his Earth body instead.
Though, in the actual movie, they removed his windshield wipers so not sure what's going on with this statue.
Separate names with a comma.
