That’s not cope that’s how it works. Stores only get product they buy.

If they made Pretender shells with articulated heads, would that be a way to bring the Selfie Series into Transformers?

An interesting concept, although I imagine that the Pretender heads in this hypothetical scenario would be larger than the heads that go with 6" figures. Would that complicate matters?

I don\'t care so much about the pretenders getting their shells, as much as I care about the rest getting updates to the legacy look; if I had to choose one.

    • It would have been like paying a Deluxe class price for a small Core with a Pretender shell. So they preferred to make a full deluxe or core character.

    • If fans want Pretender shells, it still may happen. Let Hasbro know you want them in their social media channels. They are still open to the idea.
Yes, I think many of us want actual Pretender functionality with our Pretenders. I would absolutely pay Deluxe price for a Core figure with a shell or Voyager price for a Deluxe w/ a shell.

Don't get me wrong, I like what they did with Iguanus and Bomb-Burst... somewhat less so with Skullgrin, but I believe there's a market for actual Pretenders with shells, or even a sort of modular armor system (helmet, chest, limb armor pieces that fit over the robot mode).

So I prefer if they’re going to continue to do the merge shell and bot like skullgrin iguanus and bomb burst that they do it at the deluxe class price point. Having more articulation and detail that you can get out of a deluxe is just better. I wish bombburst was a deluxe as I just like skullgrin more and that’s part of the reason.

Well this is how fans screwed themselves. Deathsaurus going to be a mainline toy, but fans showed Hasbro they'd pay close to $200 for a Leader (or Commander) class toy.

The "people don't know who he is" excuse pretty much means Hasbro should never create all new characters (which Deathsaurus pratically is in the US), just stick to existing ones.

Haslab should be ONLY for super huge items like Unicron, Galactus, Sentinel, Sail Barges. Maybe Primus for TF.

Can we shut up about what is an what isn't right with the Haslab VS and Deathsaurus. Some us have the money to buy these figures. Some of us see the value in these figures. Some of us want these to succeed.

If you dont agree with those statements just move on with your life. It really isn't worth repeating the exact same thing over and over on a discussion forum. You have already made it clear you don't like how Hasbro is handling the figures and clearly aren't interested.

We did not screw ourselves, We got a better Deathhsaurus from Haslab then we would've got with legacy. How can you say what Haslab should be? It's whatever Hasbro decides it to be. Stop speaking for the fandom just because you don't like it.

Hasbro fans voted with their money when they backed Starsaber, they cared enough to want a character in premium presentation. no one forced these people to back it. with saber at this premium level, his arch nemesis is obviously going to be the same. That's why they quickly scrapped the idea of him at leader or even commander. There's too many damn characters to fit in. Haslab is and will always be a testing platform for Hasbro. he will have a mainline figure eventually at a much budget friendly option.

Hasbro have been revisiting a lot of old characters so im not sure what you meant by stick to existing ones....its a full circle buddy. they will do everything eventually in mainline. I would gladly buy a mainline deathsaurus in addition to the haslab, i just like the character. Hasbro could of said screw what the fans want and mass produce a subpar version and sell many more units than whatever we will reach. IDK whos screwing who.

Have you actually seen the HasLab Deathsauras prototype? It is much bigger than a leader figure. Hell the throne is bigger than SS86 Grimlock. I really don’t know how anyone can look at HasLab Deathsauras and go “this only worth $50, Hasbro is being greedy!” All I hear is that you are just mad that you are broke and that other people will get an awesome toy that you won’t.

Also the figure is the size of Victory Saber combined, he's a big bot that you would not have gotten with a Leader.

Yep. This is a scale reference I did using the pictures of Victory Saber next to ER Prime as a baseline. The last time a leader was this height was 2009.

That is way too G1-esque of a shell for my taste.

Thanks. I didn't know that. I had one of the Transforers in the shell, not the shell itself.

Give us the shells as a option for those of us who want one with our pretenders.

They aren’t going to sell shells separately because the inner bots are frankly bland. In the interview it was said that if shells were to be done the inner bot would be core class size with the shell slightly bigger it would have to sell as a Voyager class figure to have the necessary budget. Now with that size of a figure, are you willing to spend $35 on a figure that is core class sized?

Yes. But I spent $100 on a figure that is deluxe sized six times to complete FP Dinoking so I don’t think I really speak for the general audience.
