The 6-7" action figures are probably most comparable to the TF Deluxes.

The 6" Hasbro: Star Wars Black, Marvel Legends, GI Joe Classified I've seen $20-25.

Mattel? Only thing comparable I could find were the Jurassic World/Park figures $20.

    Fortnite? Looks like $20

    DC also looks $20-25

    Neca? $30 looks typical.

This is rough as a comparison because TF are really unique. All of the above focus on sculpts, accessories, articulation and paint apps, where TF's obviously have to emphasize "converting". They rarely have a bunch of accessories or very detailed paint apps. Another big difference is that for almost all of the above, the toy manufacturer has to pay licensing fees to the license owner (DC comics, Disney, etc). Hasbro doesn't need to do that with TF or GI Joe.

There are real questions I have here before I get too worked up over it.

    1) How much is the price increase? $1, $2, $10?
    2) How will the affect the product in the package? When they raised prices for Armada, they made the figures bigger, gave them minicon partners, and to me felt more solid. Are we going to be paying $25 for the same Sunstreaker we got last year? That woudl be tough to swallow.

I've had a list for a while, and once that list is complete, the only TF's I'll get are ones that genuinely wow me.

This is to be expected and I'm glad it's coming during my final days as an "active" collector.

Been looking to get out for a while, I drastically cut down my purchases over the past couple years. This is the final push I needed to get out for good.

I will finish my Kingdom Beast Wars, My Movie 86 Tribute, and my Studio Series Bumblebee sub-line then im out

They can raise the prices if they want but here's the thing for me...with VERY few exceptions I will not buy another 84-88 G1 cast member thats already been done in the chug era. Its going to have to be deeper cuts, Japanese / UK characters and G2 that goes way deeper than 'what G1 repaints can we redo for G2 on the cheap'. Still plenty of remold / repaint potential all over that playground and I'll happily open my wallet.

I’d be ok with price increases if the quality also went up and the character selection improved

hell, double or triple the price. Just give me high quality plastic (like MMC uses), better tolerances, actual screws instead of pins, more paint, and more variety - this means characters from all series. And quit half-assing the gimmicks.

LOL. That just means fewer purchases from me. That or I wait for sales.

I believe the safest response to this while staying in rules is.

Golly gee mister this sure does stinks.

What else can we really say about this without breaking any of the rules?

Inflation is real. And it sucks.

Also, at some point I’ll need to rethink this hobby. I got in when deluxes were $10. And that wasn’t that long ago. This is getting crazy IMHO.

my guess for the next line's price:

    $12 core
$23 deluxe(price in kingdom has moved between 20-23 though the next line will probably be at $23 overall)
    $35 voyager
    $60 leader
$100 commander(Mentioned by leakers to increase part count/quality)

this is most likely going to happen regardless of this particular price increase, again I could be wrong but it feels like it wouldn't make sense to raise transformers price to assist nerf gun costs

i know some are having trouble justifying current costs but since hasbro is reporting tf sales are up 40% means the tf market as a whole doesn't feel outpriced yet

    Would they really though?

I've seen that thinking a lot, but not a lot of people willing to test that theory.

I know alot of people have a problem with size in the WFC/SS86 run of things but I like the scaling and over all quality we got. If they continue with this level of quality I am fine with a price increase. I wonder how many people complaining of price are the same cartoons buying 150 dollar 3rd party deluxes.

This is a way faster price increase than what inflation would do, and it's accompanied by a reduction in parts count, material variety, and paint apps.

We are beyond a shadow of a doubt paying more than inflation can account for and getting less in return.

My guess is this is shareholders saying a number on a graph has to go up.

Here is the part that really stings:
Due to accumulated toy design knowledge and CAD software that just plain wasn't used 20 years ago, the actual toys today turn out better overall than what we used to have.

But just put the RID 2000 mach alert next to studio series Kup and start counting parts, materials, and paint. The amount of STUFF IN Mach Alert is undeniable.

Imagine what today's knowledge and software could do with that material? Imagine what we could get for what would be $15 today.

But no, profits have to go up, value for the consumer has to go down. It's a heartbreaking system.

The prices for TFs in my home country is already exorbitant..now my only solution is to find used/BIB copies or if there's any sales or discounts promo then I'll buy.
