As we saw this weekend at Cybercon, none of the Titan Masters coming with Titans Return Megatron, Optimus, or Hot Rod have any paint on their Titan Master robot bodies. They look terrible.

It wasn't acceptable with Autobot Apex, the Wave 2 Titan Masters, and now we can see you plan on not painting many of the future Titan Masters.

The "Head Mode" sides are beautifully painted, and the painted Titan Masters that we do have share paint from their Head Mode on their back.

Hasbro, add the extra paint step (or two) to paint the Titan Master.

In most of those cases, that paint is allocated to either the main robot body or the Titanmaster vehicle.
( and indeed, in TR Megatron's case, they chose various shades of gray which are really close to eachother in tone ).

I understand the sentiment though. I'm looking at my Blurr's Hyperfire here and he looks great with those silver, light teal and gunmetal accents.

It's accurate. The original headmasters didn't have their robot modes painted either.

If they would just paint the faces I'd be very happy. I had to paint my wave 2 titanmaster's faces with a pin and ruined my clobber. So now I have to buy a second one. Just paint their little faces man!!!

It does look terrible, especially when there is no good color blocking to help. No paint in any mode is always going to look horrible and cheap, because it is.

TakaraTomy will fix this problem, but they may not release desperate cash grabs like Optimus and Megatron.

If they'd just paint all of the faces I'd be happy. Bonus point for more apps, but the faces!! (Why they do some and not others is baffling)

To be honest, I really don't care if the Titan Masters are painted or not. At their size, painting them well is difficult, they'll be in head mode most of the time so it's not like you'll see they're unpainted, and no paint on their faces means no worrying about that paint getting scratched off over time.

If it's a matter of the figures only being allocated a certain number of paint apps (which I bet it is), I'd much rather that paint go towards the overall robot.

being that these are based on the later figures, which had very little paint, lots of stickers, and made up of brightly colored plastics, it is only fitting to have very little paint on them.

stickers were way more fun anyways.

this is the kinda thing where, when complaining about prices, people often say "the cost of things ALWAYS increases" but what really irks me is how the cost has gone up 70% over the last 8 years but the quality (size/parts count/articulation points/amount of paint apps/blatant hollowness/level of engineering/firing projectiles/pinned wheels/translucent plastics/accessories) has gone steadily down (though seeming to improve notably in Titans Return over CW/T30)

I think not painting the robot mode of the single pack Titanmasters is a particular travesty at their price point: thats a pretty skimpy package as it is for $5/6, throw a dab of paint on the visors or faces at least.

I'd rather paint efforts focus on face/body

"3 cents"? That... That's not.... eh, never mind.

And they ARE painted. Mostly on the actually head modes and the tiny robot faces.

I didn't know a company wanting to make money was a "cash grab"; that's what they're supposed to do.

It seems some people think companies worked on charity in history it's "these days" when they started wanting to turn a profit.

Let's see... No paint on a little figure the size of my thumb nail that I will barely ever have in tiny bot mode... I just can't bring myself to care about it, they'll be in head mode or tucked into the cockpits during alt mode... Meh...

Sorry, but you are very wrong.

Left to right : G1 Stylor (from Chromedome) with painted face, TR Stylor in blue (from TR Blur) with awesome paint, TR "Cancer" (with super precise silver paint on his face), and TR Brawn who looks like a cheap dollar store knock off due to lack of any paint whatsoever.

I have my headmasters in vehicle mode quite a bit or maintaining the vehicle, and wish proper attention was paid to painting the face on the Titan masters. First off all you probably have the largest thumbnails on the planet. Secondly the titan masters themselves (the individually packaged ones) don't have cockpits to ride in, and are ride-ons in most cases.

We are talking about one dab of precision paint using the same colors pallet as the rest of the figure. they have done it for the deluxes, and the wave 1 titan masters... Why stop???
