At least you can do ship-to-store, which also encourages them to order more..

No, some place had a box set with him and Perceptor. I want to say Target. It was around when they peddled the weird Chinesium colored versions of Blitzwing and Astrotrain.

It’s safe say these reissues are a hit for Walmart and Hasbro. So maybe next time get them on Hasbro Pulse, along with a neat pre-order button as an add-on accessory.

Yeah. Target also had a box set of the three coneheads. But they never distribute this stuff to stores so it just slips under the radar if you're not watching the news sites that have been doing Hasbro and the retailers' advertising work for years.

More crappy diaclone mold choices. How about some headmasters or targetmasters ?

Ship to store only works if they ever become sold by Walmart directly via the web site that is so bad, you have better odds walking into a nuclear waste dump & back out radiation free vs. receiving an actual order. So far, only the very first wave was on the Walmart sit to my knowledge. All following waves were directly dumped straight to stores only with scalper/resellers only on the site.

Only a hit because reportedly it is bankrolled by Walmart as a pickup from the fall of TRU. Probably handled as badly also because of that purchase of the contract locking in all the terms as it rolls forward.

It was a Platinum Edition G1 reissue/release. It included Blaster and
Perceptor. I had a vintage Blaster and the Takara Collection Perceptor, so I passed on it.

Despite having all of these, what I love about this time around is that they're being released in vintage boxes. I would vote for Blaster in an original G1 box. I have the feeling Skywarp and Thundercracker will be released at some point, regardless.

IIRC, some yrs ago Takara ran a poll asking people what G1 Autobot, Decepticon, they wanted reissued next.

Blurr and Cyclonus were the winners.

I guess they forgot to check if the tooling was available?

Well, they could have also done the right thing & just remade the molds...but they chickened out & made excuses instead. Don't hit me with the costs argument. Anything produced costs to be produced. All that changes is the ending amount & I can't see anything that would have stopped these two vs. others being more expensive of held by others.

Blaster. Period. If you're gonna have Soundwave with Cassettes then it only makes sense to have Blaster with Cassettes. The seekers were always lame as G1 molds. Too much of a partsformer for me.

Water flows in the path of least resistance. The same is generally true for business. Frankly, I'm a bit amazed we're getting the Decepticon Cassettes even though the molds were obviously available per Encore. At least those have seen less exposure at the retail level. Rumble and Frenzy haven't seen American releases since the 80's, so there are your "new someones".

I want Skywarp so that means Blaster will win.

Yup, I was right! Blaster at 65%, Skywarp at 35%.

This fuckin fandom ALWAYS goes in the opposite direction.

I voted for Omega Supreme so Trypticon won.
I voted for Skywarp so Astrotrain won.
I voted for Wheeljack & Spinister so Mirage & Impactor won.
I voted for Skywarp so Blaster is winning.

    :(

It dosn't help that the G1 seeker mold is really weak. Full of gaps in plane mode, a tiny head in bot mode and full on parts forming. Leader-1 did the F-15 Eagle far better, especially the super Go-bot version.
