AMEN! If a full-on sequel to Devastation is impossible because, I don't know, Activision has the source code under lock and key, then I'll accept a spiritual successor.

But at least get PlatinumGames involved somehow! Heck, since the Haslab Victory Saber campaign is ongoing, why not throw in JG1 characters, namely Star Saber and Victory Leo? (Maybe Ginrai so we can have Optimus Prime interacting with someone who looks like him but isn't exactly him.)

Gonna take a wait and see approach, it's cool they're investing in a division focused on making actual games instead of mobile crap, especially if they really do have a lot of veterans involved, but I do take caution in Hasbro's approach to game development, since you could probably count the amount of good games under their name on one hand. That said, I could just be satisfied with Hasbro giving Platinum another go, or at least a port of Devastation on the Switch with a few bonuses(more missions and levels, a new character or 2)

Seriously considering looking for a job opportunity there. A good Transformers game will be made, even if i have to do it myself.

 

Playable decepticons and an autobot combiner. Also an extra endgame chapter where you can just roam would be doable.

 

So two main things:

1. Devastation is okay at best and hilariously overrated Platinum contract work.
2. This studio will manage to squeeze out one GI Joe game nobody asked for that bombs, resulting in the closure of the studio. Concept art and pre-production work on an awesome-looking Transformers game that was in progress when the studio was closed will leak later and make us sad. The end.

But like, the uh.....
Yeah devastation has a shit postgame and we all know it. Serious lack in characters and low value after you beat the game for the second time. Combat is good, but predictable.

However the CONCEPT for a sequel has a lot of merit.

 

What if that's the hub for an action/shooter/real time strategy game? You can just run around before going into battle, and there's item shops, and combat training, and mini games.... Lot of options here people.

It's always vaguely funny to me that the Ouija board is a thing someone can own as an intellectual property. Like when you find out the happy birthday song used to be copyrighted. Like yeah, I guess somebody did, at some point, come up with that, huh.

I dont expect a direct sequel, after all it was pushing Combiner Wars designs that are half a decade old at this point. What I want is a game that carries the same style of combat, with more playable characters(including Cons!) Co-op, and PVP.

Combiner Wars designs? The character models looks like typical G1 designs we know. The combiner wars figures themselves look more different then the sunbow G1 look we’re all familiar with.
