It's really astonishing, there are so many related products that will be available to transformer fans next year. After reading all of them, I can say with some certainty, that i will not be spending my money on any of these things.

A whole lot of junk. It really feels like Transformers as a brand has fallen so far. consistently jumping the shark and doing pointless and needless crossovers literally nobody asked for. I know it's just a meme at this point that brands only do crossovers when they are dying in sales and extremely desperate to do whatever it takes to stay relevant. At this point it seems Transformers: One is the only thing left holding the brand together (I'd count Generations but only adult fans and scalpers buy them anymore). Some gambles pay off. Most usually don't.

But Transformers has pretty much always done extensive crossovers...

 

I was just about to say? Stuff like this has happened forever. The additional revenue streams stuff like this generates makes sense from a business standpoint

All I can think about when it comes to this event is when we were so desperate for a look at ROTB a couple of years back. And we got absolutely nothing apart from TF:One being confirmed.

To think that's now 2 years ago is crazy, and now it's been almost 16 months since ROTB was released is even crazier.

 

I need those UNO cards. My 7 year old and i could play for hours...

 

It's odd that over the past 5-10 years the collectibles market has struggled with creating organic interest and so heavily relies on "NOUN X NOUN" to drive demand.

It's not new. It's just licensed merchandise. A X B is just the way to market it these days.
