So, pretty much identical to the Takara release? Interesting, though I can't really think of a different way to do Prowl's colors.

 

In before a slew of people start commenting about how shitty hasbro's looks when it looks the same.

Ironic to note that the car mode of that robot is likely about twice as old as the kid holding it.

Now.. tell me again why you'd want to pay $60.00+ for one in a different box when you can get an almost indistinguishable Knock Off for $45.00 - that might even come with the launchers too ?

Mild sarcasm aside, If they'd bothered to put logos on his shoulders, a numberplate and a flower on his hood I'd likely have bought it anyway... But if it's identical to the original or the KO 'why bother' I'd say to myself.

I'm still scratching my head as to why there isn't a Japanese deco for Prowl one with "Police Ministry" on the doors instead of Highway Patrol. (like a Binaltech Alert sort of deco)

 

I still don't get why they have a kid advertising a Masterpiece figure when the target demographic is easily twice his age.

In any case Hasbro Prowl looks great, hopefully the real product will be unaltered from the pictures. Hopefully the distribution will be better than previous MPs and those that didn't get the Takara version can enjoy this one.

If all goes well, Prowl will sell well and be followed by the rest of his MP car brethren.

 

This could very well be the first MP Hasbro hasn't stuffed up.

He looks great. You have to wonder why it seems they can do really good on everything but the Seekers. Well, since the MP-10 release at least. Before that was pretty spotty as well.

Glad people will be able to get this essentially perfect version at US retail. He's a purely amazing figure - simple yet grand.

 

Interesting, iirc the pice on this is 60 right? He is a cool figure, great mold. I expect he will sell well. I was hoping for a price point at 40 or 50 to really stand out from the takara version.

Yea its pretty funny. Hasbro has cats and dogs that give the ok on anything that has to do with masterpiece figures and their releases.

 

These pics do nothing to sell me on him....an adult acting stupid on a video review do more that a kid with a fake awe expression who isn't even looking at what hes been hired to play with.... My kid plays with imaginary stuff better than this kid who has a physical toy does.

Price wise....meh, Takara Prowl, Hasbro Prowl no biggie, had this been $40 (and no reason it shouldn't have been), id maybe pick it up just for the box and to put my TT version away, but being i have the TT version....this does nothing for me at $60. Glad though unlike Sunstorm this figure didnt get a horrible redeco, or come out looking cheap like Universe Prowl.
