    Need a little help, guys!

Just got my Hasbro Masterpiece Prime. I love this figure so far, but I've got an issue now, and it's got me worried.

When I got him, I transformed him into truck mode naturally. When I collapsed his legs, I noticed that the little button on the back of one knee was a little sticky. I got the leg collapsed, but the button seemed to not really be working.

Now I want to transform it back into robot mode and I CANNOT get that leg to extend out again. I've given it as much force as I'm comfortable with, and it will NOT budge. The other leg is working fine. Anybody else have this problem? Any idea how it might have gotten locked in? Help! :(

I'd just open it up and check it out. first I've heard of this problem. Hope it's not anything severe. Maybe just some mold flash?

Yeah, I did a search and couldn't find anyone else describing the same issue. It might just be a fluke on mine. I was thinking of undoing the screws and opening it up, but it looks like the lower legs might also be glued shut. :(

The good news is that after working at it over 40 minutes, I braced myself and applied some really steady force, and it popped out like it's supposed to. Absolutely terrifying though, because I could see how much it was straining the plastic, both in the knee, and at the hip joint. I'm hoping it's just some mold flash, as you mention, and that it's cleared out now. I haven't had the courage to test it by sliding the leg back in again.

Thanks for the reply. Wish me luck.

Same thing happened to me bro. I just pushed that button as far as I could and really pulled on it. I looked at it, didn't see massive damage potential, so I reefed on it. It pulled out, then I tried it again, and works great. Just some mold flash..needs to be worked. I hope that's all it is for ya.

I tried to re-transform him and that leg was really hard to collapse, and then REALLY hard to pull out again... though maybe not as hard as the last time. The other leg is still really easy, no problems.

I notice that pulling the legs out again, the button doesn't seem to do anything at all. It stays locked in (on both legs) and only pops out again when you extend them. Whatever is holding that leg in must be something inside, unconnected to the button.

It's probably some irregularity in the mold, but maybe it'll loosen up a bit with every transformation. I just hope I don't pull the leg clean off before that happens!

There was a post about those buttons, probably in the feedback thread, but someone was having problems with them. I don't remember if it was this specific issue, but another poster said they had the same problem and it was because the button was in upside down.

The previous poster responded that they took the leg or legs apart and turned the button around and that fixed it.

So, that might help. Have a look through the feedback thread (or if there's an MP Optimus fixes thread) for specifics.

Thanks, I'll look into that, though searching that thread so far is very needle-in-haystack. I can't find any reference to that issue, and it's pretty long.

Was there a fixes thread in this section of the forum? If so, it might have been in there.

It's in the main feedback thread. I found it eventually, and followed the instructions, but when I opened up the leg, the button on mine wasn't upside down after all.

There's really no relation between the button and unlocking the leg when it's pushed in anyway... it's entirely based on pulling force. In the case of my MP Prime, it just seems to be inexplicably tight, though it does seem to be loosening up a tiny bit every time I transform it. Still a bit stressful though.

So, I really feel like an ass right now. I sold a MIB Takara MP-10 last week on eBay. The seller notifys me today that he received the package an that upon opening him that he notices that the leg joints are loose as hell, the index finger has stress marks an one of the foot pegs are broken !? I told him that iv heard of some QC issues with the figure but I had absolutely no clue about any of the ones that mine had. Granted, I never even took mine out of the plastic tray. I told him that I received him from BBTS last year an that maybe they could help him out with maybe some replacement parts. I don't know tho. I really feel like a scum bag for not knowing about any of these issues that my figure had, an the fact that what I thought I was selling was a perfect figure turned out to be a P.O.S

It's honestly not your problem, so don't blame yourself or feel bad.

It was MISB when you sold it.

If the tape wasn't sealed on the box that is enough evidence to say you may have tampered with it according to ebay policies. . . they look after the buyer in every case. so you're SOL if he opens up a case against you.

Darn, saw your post late and I wanted to tell you it was a matter of pulling the leg hard. I had the same problem with both of TT and Hasbro versions.

Paypal sides with the buyer more than you think, to uphold their reputation as safe buying environment or whatever. Unfortunately for us sellers. . .

    OK short story:

I remember selling some high end gear once and someone from "flight2nrt" won it at a pretty high bid price. This company buys from US sellers, has you send to their CA office and then sends it to Japan or whomever bought it from an international site. I guess thats how they get around "does not ship international" sellers like myself. So even though it gets to the CA office safely, they do not track from CA to Japan, so if it gets lost the buyer files a claim and you get screwed.

That is why I put them on my blocked bidders list.

After I did my research I quickly canceled the auction with this seller and reposted the auction. They didn't leave me bad feedback, so I lucked out.

That's stupid. Even if u have proof it made it to Cali? That's like u shipping to me and I ship to my mother. If it gets lost going to my mother, how's that your fault?

Yes, exactly, check this link showing how they are run. If the end buyer never gets it then they file a claim and pow you're done for. They even have the nerve to leave you positive feedback for the sale YET STILL file a paypal claim against you.

Everybody needs to take the time out and file a case with the BBB. I did and if we get enough people filing against them maybe something will come of it. The BBB actually works. I was skeptical about it but they actually got me my money back from another company that tried to screw me over. I got a full refund! It was Tivo... Please, take the time out to file a complaint. It's better than just complaining.

This company Shop Airlines America is a partner with Ebay USA. If you go to sekaimon.com and type in your Ebay auction number your auction will pull up on this Japanese sight! If you can translate the page you will see that they sell your auction to people in Japan and they get a 15% commission for the transaction. I had no idea that Ebay allowed this to happen. They are partners because I asked them when I called Ebay over the phone. They are going to investigate flight2pvg. This has to someway go against the Buyer protection right? WTH!

I, too, am having trouble with an eBay sale to Shop Airlines America... First, it was jumping through all the hoops to send it out, Now, the item has supposedly not reached them, and I suspect they are going to try a chargeback without returning item. A nightmare in the making... Item is a $300.00 custom pipe... If I don't get it back, and they get their money back, I'm out $300.00. Don't do any business with these people. They're problematic, to say the least, and very possibly outright fraudulent... (m.)
