Ok, I know recently Hasbro has been making a stink about certain things, even customizers, to a point. Anyways, my girlfriend, who makes custom MLPs, just showed me this:

So this got me curious if Hasbro may actually start to support the custom scene for maybe even Transformers. I know this is vastly different, since MLP's generally all have the same size and features, but it's still an interesting development.

It'd be nice if they made some nice custom wings parts for a classics thrust conversion or custom parts to convert basic characters into other characters...

I could see them doing something like that for G.I. Joe, but it's a bit harder with Transformers.

Didn't they do the larger GI Joe figures and different outfits for them a few years back and drop it because they didn't sell very well?

I really doubt something like blank tf's would happen.

And the problem with GI Joes is that they end up being dress up figures. I really wouldn't count on it again.

They seem to have been encouraging it with Joes. Remember that display they had with all the staff mad customs? What would be amazing (but doubtful) is if they started selling parts like Games Workshop. Need an Rock 'N Roll head for that Clutch you wanted to make? Just order one.

Another thing that would be cool is if they standardised at lest the head/ neck on Joes and Star Wars for customizing both.

I don't remember Hasbro ever having a stink with customizers.

The problem Hasbro has with customizers is people making custom gi joe figures and selling them as a business.

They could sell the blank Microman figures. No way it'll happen, but it sure would kick ass.

They would probably have to get a liscense from Tomy, but since Hasbro already has a working relationship with them, it would be easier (I would assume, at least?) than if they were trying to get it from a company they never worked with before.

It looks like Hasbro's getting in on the whole custom vinyl craze.

Hasbro shouldn't really have any trouble with customizers, heck I buy double the figures I would other wise get just to do the customs. Doubles Hasbro's sales in most cases I would think.

The only trouble I knew Hasbor having was not issues with people who simply customized, but actually sold them with customized packaging using Hasbro logos.
