I wasn’t super thrilled with the reveals today, but I’m happy Shortround is in the pipeline. I have the lone Indy I want on PO…I think I can get Shortround and be done.

Stick Raiders Indy head on that and you have Last Crusade Indy.

I like the Retro wave. None of that silly fake weathering like the Star Wars ones have.

Seems like too many Indys too soon. Space them out Hasbro or the line will become The Wall of Indys at the stores.

While i like Club Obi Wan Indy. I'll just get him in the store. Recent Target exclusives have been easy to get and this figure just screams slow seller.

Same here. I actually always liked how different the movie felt. I don’t even consider it a “part” of the trilogy. Doesn’t it take place chronologically before raiders too?

temple of doom has always been my favorite too

Was that everything the toy whip does? No electronics or whipping sound effects?

My big thing is, Indy is essentially only iconic in one look. Everything else is a one scene costume. And nobody's going to want to make a diorama of 5 Indys.

Three of the movies take place in roughly a six year period. So it isn't even like you get an "older Indy" without Crystal Skull or the new movie. They're essentially the same age.

I think this is a really hard line to do without legions of 1/12 German soldiers.

I think you could make an argument for two with the jacket off, torn clothes optional as being the second iconic look. That Temple of Doom poster with him looking like that feels to me like the piece of Indiana Jones imagery, in terms of what I see the most of and stuff.

Though I absolutely agree with the sentiment that this is too much Indy within a single wave of figures. We have more Indy figures than active wave 1 pre-orders, we nearly have a full wave of Indy. And I would actually buy both of these exclusive versions as I have nostalgia for both of those scenes and far more attachment to those looks than half the characters in these films and I get that the main characters sell, but... not in a single transaction Hasbro? Not without any other Last Crusade figures? We have barely seen all the OT Luke Skywalkers released after 10 years and you are doing the professor outfit right out the gate? Cause yeah, I am yet to be confident that this line has legs. We have yet to see a single German soldier and without that longevity... this line could just be a one-off release with a removable jacket + swappable arms and it covers most everything important. Forget the jacketless look and that is still true.

(I live in Australia though so I am only pretending like whatever Hasbro do with these figures would be available to me as exclusives that will not come here)

I'm getting 2008 flashbacks to the 3 3/4inch Indy line that tried to be the next Star Wars when Crystal Skull showed up. I mean seriously, is there any reason that we need this many Indy variants in the first month of release?

Hell at least the 3 3/4inch line featured army building antagonists.

Oh well, I'll get what I can get and hope for the best.

Just rewatched Doom and it's still the best Indy movie ever! I'll take a Mola Ram with flaming heart in hand accessory.

Yeah. I can see "Naked" Indy, and "Out of Breath" Indy and Helena from the new movie peg warming already. But, IIRC, I think the plan for this line was to only do 25 figures, and I think we've seen 13 of them. Hopefully it won't be too hard to get the ones after on-line, since the line seems to have a set end point. As long as they space out the Mutt Williams figure's release.

I would argue there are four looks that are essential Indy - Basic Indy, Indy with Jacket off, Torn Shirt Indy (TOD Poster), Old Indy*. I don't know that Jacket Off is too in demand, and Old Indy would be Basic Indy with gray hair. Really, Basic and ToD would probably satisfy the shelf needs of most fans.

*I am aware there are probably minor discrepancies between the basic look in each film, but the majority of people would never spot them.

For Ford, there's also Tweed Professor Indy, Desert Robes Indy, OB1 Indy, Kali Slave Indy, Nazi Soldier Indy, Last Crusade Indy in suit and tie, Last Crusade Indy - Basic look with tie, Tapestry Inspector Indy, and Wedding Indy, not to mention variations of the basic look with different accessories or "battle damaged" effects. Any significant video game looks?

Then you could do River Phoenix Indy and the three TV show Indy's (there were three, right?).

There was little kid Indy, teenage Indy, and grumpy old eye-patch Indy. Haven't seen Shortround yet, but maybe his body could be little kid Indy?

I'm still holding off on The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles until we get them on Blu-ray with a choice of the edited movie or the Old Indy bookends. Now that Disney is running things I thought for sure that they'd try to mine the back catalog and it is a pretty hefty series that has only ever come out on DVD. (Unless I missed something in the past year) Sad that Old Indy got erased when the DVD set came out.

But I think that we're all correct that the 6"-Line has way too many Indiana Jones figures announced so far. The Temple of Doom Hypnotized Indy is my bet for the biggest peg-warmer announced thus far. Belloq or Marion (or the new girl) will likely have collectors picking up one figure. But I can see even hardcore collectors skipping a repeat of the "torn shirt Indy" that is just missing the shirt. They've got all the suit molds made, seems like a Marcus Brody head would have made a better figure for that final slot.

Indiana Jones Adventure Series Indiana Jones (club Obi Wan) (target Exclusive) : Target

Haven't seen the figure on Pulse. Odd since Pulse normally offers a few of the exclusive figures through their own website. And Hasbro Pulse is more reliable than Target.

Edit: Plus Indy doesn't meet free shipping on his own at Target. Grrrr. Stupid Pulse getting me to go Premium and then not carrying a figure where I should be able to get me free shipping.

Pulse only does partner exclusives for brands that they outright own (Transformers, G.I. Joe, Power Rangers) but none of the licensed brands (Marvel, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc)
