Nobody is doubting that Hasbro makes and sells toys that people buy. If the majority of TF fans wouldn't buy enough of another Bumblebee to warrant it's creation, Hasbro wouldn't make it.
The thing with 3rd party companies is that they make stuff the collectors want. While they are transforming robots, they don't directly compete with Hasbro as the target audience is different.
Sure, a lot of collectors buy Hasbro products as well as 3rd party products, but Hasbro's target audience is children. Children won't buy a $600 devastator or a highly detailed Sixshot.
and I personally doubt someone who can afford a $600 combiner will turn down a Hasbro product they want.
The problem for Hasbro is that a lot of us aren't interested in what they're currently offering.
I know I haven't gone "let's see, I can either buy Hercules... or I can buy Warpath, hmmmmm". If I'm interested in the official product, I will get it.

So basically, the "junk" you so loudly like to say brought you your fabled 3rd party products. But hey don´t let facts get in the way of your rage.

And "lol" at the third party do it better. Shall we compare the volume of sales?

Except only a small percentage of people (the collector market) would buy it. With no media or supporting fiction, they would be hard pressed to get retailers to sell it.

People here forget that they make up a really small portion of the audience that buy Transformers. Geewun or more sophisticated toys may sell to some people, but for the vast majority of people that Hasbro markets to, they will not.

I thought for a while that 3rd parties would step over the line in some way, shape, or form. But realistically I doubt Hasbro could do much at all to halt things going on in China or Hong Kong. At worst we'll end up importing them if you want them.

Why forget that they are doing other stuff like more Generations and the Prime toyline? There are a lot of choices out there as to what to collect.

The person spilling this info wasn't a Hasbro employee, but rather someone who contracts with them and deals intimately with the Transformer brand team. He would know.

Seeing as you have some credibility, and that most likely your information is not the same as mine, this now makes two credible sources for this news. Pretty much settles it for me. Something's going to happen.

    Let the stupid trolling begin...

Anyways, Tiller makes a good point, and I agree, that Hasbro HAS to be a lot more global in what liens they produce, but I just wish at the more G1 inspired/classics lines, they'd give better selection and more emphasis on new molds.

You have to wait forever for a lot of third party products too. It just depends on taste. I've found a lot of stuff at retail lately that are just awesome.

I want more new molds but I also don't mind retools and repaints for obscure characters. I hope one day they get into the combiners for a classics style line.

A "credible" source here also claimed he had the remaining ROTF Constructicons in hand and that was 100% lie. Don't take it too personal, but I'll believe it when it actually happens.

Why even feed it? You've already seen the quality of response you're going to get. Do you think any time soon there's going to be a sudden increase in the maturity or relevance of them?

I've seen you converse and post on here... you're above it.

I don't mind a retool if it MAKES SENSE... but Mindwipe as STRAFE?! It's the shit like that that really bugs me.

I'm kinda' oddly "excited" to see what Hasbro's gonna do.
