News Post: Hasbro Confirms A Transformers Animated Theatrical Feature Film
You lost me at: "linking with the Live Action Movie Series"
Animated huh? That actually sounds good.
This had to happen. This is what fans want. Finally looks like the franchise is moving in the right direction with this, and a new animated series. With the admitted disaster known as The Last Knight still looming over their heads, im sure there is a lot of pressure being applied to market a product that people actually want, not just something we have to settle for. Im not a big fan of the Beast Wars era, but i wouldnt mind it at all if thats the direction theyre going. At this point anything different would be good i think.
Hopefully this will go some way to tie all the bits of movieverse mythology together. Hopefully we'll get a more substantial cause of the war rather than the vague 'Megatron wanted the Allspark's power' ( to do what, exactly?)
Take over the universe?
If Cyberverse is "Chapter One" this movie could be "Prolog"
Yeah, but to what end? why does he want to do that? True villains have deeper motivation than just 'I'm evil, I'll rule the universe mwahaha!'
Yeah, that immediately killed the few seconds of optimism I had at the beginning of the article.
Yep. Annnndddd I'm getting off at this stop, thank you.
If it looks anything like this, I'm game.
Yes please! This type of animation with movieverse designs would be absolutely beautiful.
Exactly how was his plan gonna work at all if the fallen, "operation pillar" and sentinel were still around (even if they were afterthoughts)???
Shove it through their skulls that we don't want anything more to do with this terrible mythology. We want quality films, and just as importantly, TF films. The sooner they come to terms with the huge mistakes they have made since TF2, the better off the brand will be. TF survives on the power of it's fandom, the mystique and prestige of the Masterpiece series driving hype and interest, and the fully fleshed out Classics line that dominates retail sales. With the right movies in a carefully crafted universe by people who are actually interested in TransFormers, the brand could finally reach beyond the heights seen in 1984.
Only once piece of the puzzle is missing, and we can make it clear to them what it is with our wallets.
My condolences to the writing team who must try to link up Megatron's plan from the 1st 3 films.
As a movieverse fan, I'm of course really looking forward to this. I wish it was coming out before TF6(as in the real TF6 not the Bee movie).
I thought this meant the DJW Animated series and I was ecstatic for a second.
(Why do you capitalize the F in Transformers?)
HASBRO! STOP! STOP AND THINK WHAT ARE YOU DOING! Fans want it? I'm a Movie fan and I don't want this cartoonish shit about Primus and Unicron. And this idea about animated movie sounds EXTREMELY childish. I bet it'll be supposed for children even more then Bumblebee Movie, I'm too old to see something like RID in theater, it's just not exciting. They're idiots! The Movie feels bad now, they must get pause, fix everything and go away from this new course in order to produce effective Movies, like they did it earlier. TF5 broke continuity, how they dare to think about origin now. If they would continue with this Aligned stuff, Orion Pax, etc - I'm not interested in it. We in fact would get a reboot, it would not Movieverse anymore.
We're gonna need a Megatron spin-off for that, kinda like the Prequels did with Anakin.
If this won't connect the previous 3 films bay created, nothing will.
I've been longing for more scenes/stories regarding protoforms
Things like when, who and what created the allspark. The origins of sentinel prime, Megatron and Optimus, and how they were supposedly in charge of knights.
The stories are such a mess right now I don't know if that even concerns paramount or Hasbro at this point.
The only group affected is the fandom sadly.
