I love how they have the 1-1 scale super accurate ROTB Optimus statue and then an Evergreen Bumblebee that looks like one of those giant fondu cakes.

Why are there two rears of the car for Bumblebee? Why are his toes behind the foot? Who signed off on this Bumblebee?

Why is the bumblebee twice the height of the Optimus? Guess it shows hasbro’s opinion on the two.

    Same design.

But the statue looks a lot cooler.
I wouldn't mind a new figure based more on this statue.

I wish the USA wasn't so scared to put up statues... but I think most malls or stores would consider those statues garish. Which is a shame. Cause they're beautiful pieces of art, imo.

We need more pop culture statues out there! :thumb

That Magnet OP got a more accurate G1 design, cuter look AND more emotive than any TF Funko ever.

I dunno, Cyberverse took the evergreen design and gave it bit more rizz imo

I mostly mean the apparent leg engineering more than anything.

Man, I was just in Mexico City with my girlfriend a month ago…. I wanted to go here, but we had a pretty packed schedule (plus, like… it looks like Transformers is a small part of it, there’s lots of other Hasbro stuff everywhere, apparently).
Now I wish we’d have gone just for the photo opportunity by the statues. :D

It always amazes me how in recent years Transformers became such a niche market here in Japan, compared to the mainstream exposure the market had in Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico, etc. For the markets outside of the US specifically.

Nowadays in Japan, Anime, Gaming & Idols take the full gamut of mainstream. Even some big popular toy sections of department stores don’t even carry Transformers anymore.

Yet the niche market is so strong. Stronger than ever for Transformers G1 vintage.
