Albeit, I think CW Leader Megatron wouldn't be too bad a figure to remold into a Cyberverse Megatron.
If they did that for this supposed Generations: Evergreen line, alongside a new mold Leader Optimus Prime, I'd buy it. (I plan on using that line, if it happens, as my Cyberverse collection as they use the same designs).
As much as I love hasbro... making up a goofy “pretengeneering” moniker for prototyping actually ruins it for me. But i guess that’s what social media is about? - getting cute and friendly?
and I agree with the above post: Out Of Funding is right.
Yeah, the leg missle pods are the giveaway. So this is definitely the cyberverse prelim starting design.
That's definitely the Evergreen/Cyberverse Megatron. Wonder if it's a diagram for the rumored Generations version of the toy.
Or 'design' as most companies would call it.
Disney has Imagineers, so let Hasbro have its 'pretengineering'.
The word play is based around the fact they have to pretend/imagine how the prelim design would work without a physical representation of parts, and that's before getting to the direct CAD full parts design.
But yes you're also correct that this is still initial 'design' steps, but the word usage is meant to separate it from the actual engineering part that goes into the final toy. So in other words this direct design never sees full physical form as designed. It's essentially the detailed concept sketch stage that they have to imagine up and pretend how it would work.
Dude, Hasbro so thinks it's Disney lol
The two companies just need to hookup and become Disbro.
At least the live-action franchise would improve...
Ugh....stupid tank treads on Megatron. When they said "upcoming" I was hoping to see some trigger and barrel kibble on him. Sigh....only in America.
The dummy running eBay wants to be Amazon, the dummy running Hasbro wants to be Disney.
Must be especially hard for the designers when everyone shits on your design and it's not even your fault the design sucks, because you had to retrocatively dumb it down...
So, the shoulder is a thick, ratchet hinge? Think I'll be okay with skipping this line.
I think a lot of people are misinterpreting the purpose of this. It's not for a toy at all. It's just to demonstrate the mechanical detail of the character and how parts move around and are exposed when animated. This is basically like the mechanics lineart from Gundam; it's not indicative that Hasbro has any larger plans for this design.
The animation is going to have a ratchet shoulder?
Could simply be explained as greebles.
Tank>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Pistol any day.
Not a fan of the whole tank Megs thing unless were talking G2. Hell, I rather have the nerf gun or the orange cap. This tank thing has been going on long before kids in the hood started pointing snickers bars at the cops and getting shot. Time to bring it back to the OG megatron. Enough is enough already.
Its neat to see how they do stuff like that.
Yeah that's the real issue plauging the US of A, the evil space man isn't a gun anymore because of loony nanny state gun laws.
